I used to be a huge advocate for uber. Ive used them for concerts, late nights, as well to and from the airport. Ive heard the horror stories but luckily I had no experience with that until last night(04/16/17). While on my .85 mile trip up the road to my apartment. Our Uber driver Sami Osamah had claimed that we created a mess requiring an 80$ cleaning fee. Of course it was a faulty claim, as the only intoxicated person in the vehicle was asleep for the duration of the trip. Which Sami failed to complete as he dropped us off in the middle of the street out front of the apartment complex. After spending a few frustrated minutes trying to contact Uber customer service. I came up empty handed.
Uber needs to up their customer service quality or work on controlling their employees. So if my incident does occur again there is something in place to protect their customers or they wont have many customers in the long run.
My honest opinion, everyone (including board members) is leaving Uber. My recommendation. Dont download and delete this app if you have it. Nothing is worth the headache this company has caused me and my friends. Better to use Lyft, or any other taxi service.
