Drivers accepting rides only to call you to cancel

I have had this issue happen 4 times now! These drivers are so money hungry they accept fares only to turn around to cancel them. Its very frustrating. I have complained to Uber directly but only ever get a "can" email response. The actual issue is never addressed. Yesterday I requested an uber for the driver to call me immediately to say can you cancel I havent eaten lunch yet. I said no you cancel she told me no and hung up on me. Very rude. I tried to call back and she sent me to voicemail. I did cancel and only had me friend to request the uber and the same thing happened to her the driver says its too far and he wouldnt make any money. Im done with uber - going back to taxis and private cars.
