WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

They have started charging trip fares upfront so a driver can decide to call and ask where you are going beforehand and then cancel your trip after accepting it. When this happens you are typically charged for the holding fee which is the full fare of the trip. my Uber home typically costs about $60 so I am usually charged that amount for a cancelled Uber plus an additional $60 when I order and Uber that actually accepts my trip. Customer service is always very dismissive and never gives me a straight answer about refunds either. I once had $250 in charges that I had to wait a full week to be refunded for. Never using Uber again.
