Horrible app

As a new user I find the app user unfriendly. Additionally, no cars are shown on the map and the app says "no cars available." Uber is useless to me.

Not reliable

• Their system is whacko •Disabled my account after one use •I had to jump through hoops to get my account re-activated • Couldnt connect to server (twice) • Wouldnt use Apple Pay even though I used it for Uber before •Uber driver didnt know who he was working for •Still charged me even though we didnt go anywhere because Uber is so messed up I booked an Uber from the airport and someone accepted it. My driver tried calling me multiple times but I couldnt hear him any of the times he called. I dont know if that was Ubers fault or just the phone itself, but thought I would mention it. So I had to cancel him. I then requested another Uber and everything was going good until my new driver called and asked if I was trying to get a taxi and I was like, what? No I requested an Uber and he kept asking if I wanted a taxi. It was very confusing. Then, he pulled up and we were all ready to go, but he told me I needed to put in a destination. I did put in a destination, but for some reason it didnt show on his phone. And we were talking back and forth that I did but he didnt have it. So I had to cancel the ride and put in the same information so he would have a destination to go to, but then my phone said it couldnt connect to Ubers server. What does that even mean? Like what? So I had to cancel the whole ride and pay him cash because I couldnt use Uber at that point. But Uber decides to still charge me even though we didnt go anywhere. I blame Uber 100% for this. And then a few days later I tried booking another Uber thinking I would have better luck and I was locked out of my own account (disabled). How could you disable my account? That makes no sense. So I had to jump through hoops to get my account re-activated. Then I tried to book an Uber and it says that it doesnt use Apple Pay. WHAT? Thats what the whole system relies on. And then it was telling me that it couldnt connect to the server again. HOW? If you have read this far, DO NOT GET AN UBER; IT IS VERY UNRELIABLE.

What happened to allowing location services only when this app is running? Im not going to use UBER until they change this. Side note: LYFT only wants your location data when using their app.

The app is simple, easy to use and intuitive by design, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make and model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy!!! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!

App is not Not user Friendly, too much confusing

Stars is on App not on service. for me So far service is good. Uber App issues: 1) uber pool option is not available as given help on uber web page. 2) Estimated price of Ride option is not available. 3) To check estimate ride price have go with the procedure of Booking Ride (Where To)..!!!why like this...! 4) if you check estimated price of ride from WHERE TO then you only have one click which is DONE button, why CANCEL button is not there. This is similar like cheating once u clikc on Done then you will charge for cancellation. 5) Entering Promocode option is not available, why its hidden. ** so many options are need to add or make easier

Too many awful experiences to ignore

Ive used Uber now for about 8 months. Ive had quite a few bad experiences with their drivers, one of which showed up drunk and irate. However, today I got a notification about a trip that happened yesterday where I was charged $50 for a cleaning fee. See, what happened was, the woman couldnt figure out where I was, then when she finally did, she parked nowhere near me so I got drenched in the rain going out to her car. I had frozen food, frozen SOLID, as I was being picked up from the butcher shop, and that went in her backseat and I went in the front. I got onto her about the delayed pickup and then her not parking close, she copped an attitude, and the trip was finished. So I guess her response is to say I messed up her car? Multiple people in that butcher shop can attest to the condition of the food I bought, which in no way shape or form couldve leaked or caused any sort of damage whatsoever. I will be awaiting their response, but will surely be deleting the app, disputing the charge, and using Lyft in the future if this isnt resolved.


I will not be using your services anymore. I am against nazis and hate in any fashion, but your impulse to send me an email about Charlottesville to virtue-signal your opinion has turned me off.

So many issues its insane

My biggest gripe is that when there is an issue that causes the app to malfunction and youre forced to order another ride usually the price has gone up and theres no way to not be subjected to this punishment. The last thing you want after being inconvenienced is to pay more am I right? Thats just the beginning. I guess it beats taking a cab when you have the money in your account.

Uber no more

In the last 3 updates (at least) they have (a) removed the Setting for Location = While Using the App - not only does this drain the battery far more, it also lets them always monitor your location which is a privacy invasion, (b) it periodically rejects car requests for no obvious reason ("Can not process your ride request" or similar), & (c) you can not edit or delete credit cards on file (the system said my preferred card was not valid, which it was). So I have switched to Lyft for many rides with none of these issues & it has been great.


Why the hell is uber emailing me about political bs. Lyft is better and cheaper. Im out.

So I just received a virtue signaling email from Uber. I did not provide them my email for them to bother me with non-ride related Spam.

I Love Uber

The Uber app is awesome, I use it very frequently, but you guys need to update maps and have it where the driver can see who theyre picking up. I have a picture on mine and I had a driver asking if I was the pickup? I said yes and wondered why they were asking me that when I have a picture. They cant see my picture if they needed to identify me. Please do that, that would be a great safety thing for drivers.

Worst customer service

Uber deactivated my Uber account with out fault by my side When I try to reactivate I cannot do tht because they wont allow to do Its been worst experience I have ever seen

Uber cancel

Uber drivers canceling before even calling client, when they were parked outside the wrong building. Charging $5 when the ride was less than $3, makes no sense. Uber displays the wrong Apt #.

Terrible customer service

If I have an issue with a ride or incorrect payment charge, Im always responded with generic answers that never fix the problem. Worst customer service ever. Very disappointed.

Customer service

So they wont take my debit card, which is a prepaid but have been able to use it almost everywhere else, cans pay bills with, direct deposit etc. Anyways they wont take so I bought a uber gift card , well because they wont take my debit card they wont let me use the gift card ether , which I got conflicting answers on that too. They also wont refund the gift card ether. So now I have a 50$ gift code. Oh and customer service is just emailing back and forth which half of them are just copied and pasted.
