This app is horrible. Zero stars. I ordered and uber and the app never updated. Had to cancel and reorder only to get the same driver. Who never moved or responded to my communication. Then I got charged $10!?!? For what Is beyond me.

Terrible customer support... I keep getting the same prerecorded response to something totally different from what I am asking... its very frustrating

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST

For the past 2 months I have emailed, texted and tweeted uber support , they were telling me the exact same thing that my account "should be working" , they asked for screenshots receipts etc. They were still able to do nothing about it. When I asked for a number they told me they dont have phone support for my issue . I used to use the app frequently and now I am no longer able to.The Worst customer service I have ever received.

Whats happened to uber??

Ive been using uber for ages, but last 2days ruined my impression completely. Yesterday I ordered uber to go to work and when the car was 2 mins away, for some reason the app cancels the trip and orders a new car. The driver still arrived, so I explained the situation. In my history I dont even see this trip (cancelled or not) Today I ordered uber again and when the driver was 2 mins away and quite close on the map, the app starts showing 1 min left but the drivers car is when he was when I ordered him - 13/14 mins away and doesnt move , even after I close and open the app again. I waited for few mins and no one came so I had to order a local taxi

Sleazy company. Crappy app.

At SFO, it gives the wrong location. Then you have to message the driver where you are. Why does Uber insist upon knowing our location even when were not using the app? Do they sell our location information to others? Truly a sleazy company. From top to bottom.

Cant apply promo codes

Whenever I try to apply a promo code even though its within the dates when its applicable, I get an error message telling me that the promo code cant be applied. Ive only ever been able to use a promo code once!

Horrible Service

GO TO LYFT!! Firstly, their advertising for unlimited service for the month is limited to only a few in my area. Secondly, their drivers do not understand English. I walk up to them, say my name and they say "not you" because they cant read well. Theyll add 4 and 5 people in their cars, squishing you without mercy and will not come up the driveway of a major, BUSY hospital. Who wants to walk to the street after a hard days work or being discharged from a hospital ward??

Disappointed

Ive used Uber for a while now and had no problems with my drivers. They were kind and thoughtful to me. Its just that the app is seriously going south with all these negative reviews that there are less and less drivers near me now. I had to get from point A to point B and knew if I wanted to arrive on time that I would have to get a ride ahead of time. Even then I just had 3 uber drivers cancel on me and they kept getting farther away from my location. While my time using uber had been positive, its obvious that the service is dead around me. Uber lost another 5 star rider and I just hope they get their act together before they completely go under.

Go to the Payment tab in the app and enter the coupon under promotions. Might as well try it out since it wont cost you a thing! The app is simple, easy to use and intuitive by design, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make and model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy!!! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!

Serious privacy issues

I was required to set up an Uber for business profile for work, which claimed to set up separate profiles and payment options for my work vs. personal rides. Uber instead chose to not separate the payment profiles and I was horrified to discover that Uber had automatically transferred my corporate card information to my personal UberEATS profile (a completely different app), and my personal meals were somehow being charged to my corporate card and are showing up in our HR system on my expense reports. Quite embarrassing to explain to HR.

Confusing to use.

Tried to order a regular Uber and ended up with a carpool when the switched it automatically. I ordered Uber for someone else and the driver called me telling me that hes in front of my house. Not my house. Read the instructions. Not very happy.

Uber lies

About 2 months ago, I arrived about 20mins late on an Uber pool. I understand an exact time estimate cannot be made, but I asked Uber if anything could be done for such an extreme late estimate. I was told by, LapynshaiW that “If we miss the estimated time, you will automatically get $2 credit towards your next uberPOOL ride.” Since then I have been late twice on Uber pool and the $2 refund has not been automatic. This last time no refund was even offered. When I pointed out this message from LapynshaiW, Uber told me that I was not late to my ride, when on my recipe for the ride it says, “late arrival”. This contradiction and lying from Uber is disgusting and unacceptable. Yes, it’s only $2 and a few mins I’m upset over, but I’m tired of people and companies having no integrity or responsibility. I encourage you to no longer use Uber.

Even if you want to get a black car on the occasional night out, it’s still cheaper and more convenient than hiring your own private driver. The customer support is also fantastic. Schedule a ride didnt work

The "car icon" as noted in your "schedule a rides" video and instructions does not appear in the "Where to?" bar in the app. FYI, Im logged in, I have an active account and searched everywhere to try to enable Scheduling a ride. Fail

App did not send code

This review is about the app, not Uber. I tried many times to get started but was never sent the text with the code to register. I had an unexpected need for this service as taxis do not serve my community (there is a ridiculous minimum fare). I gave up and tried the "other" company. There were no issues and the app worked great. Whatever glitch exists needs to be rectified as it is costing Uber business.

Terrible customer service

Marked my issue as resolved before investigating or responding, then just sent the same canned email over and over again. Really frustrating interaction.

I really dont like the concept of tipping

I like uber and use it frequently. I actually admire what it has done to the transportation industry. Bringing tips to uber is caving in to the old system. I dont want to feel like Im not paying in full if Im not tipping. Annoying!
