Major privacy concerns

I have privacy concerns about Uber. I dont like how Uber has access to a users location even while not using the app. Why not have the option to allow location tracking while using the app only?

I also just read extremely troubling news that Uber found a way to track users that deleted the app.

Lyft is a much better alternative.
