Invasive GPS tracking policy even after many user complaints

Location tracking is all or nothing with Uber. Normal apps offer "track only when using", but Uber demands "Always track". If the past year has taught us anything, its "dont trust Uber to do the right thing".

It looks like theyre not in a hurry to listen to customers complaints, since were at least six updates in since I started paying attention to the GPS issue.

Partial workaround: disable GPS for the Uber app, and only turn it back on if you absolutely must use Uber.

In the meantime Ive been using the friendly Uber competitor, and so far its worked like a charm. Thanks Uber, for encouraging me to check out other apps!
