Forces drivers and customers to go to "pool" pickup points for non-pool rides. Zero star!

I used to be able to drop the pick-up pin where I was actually standing. Made sense, right? Not anymore. Uber now just moves the pin to the nearest "pool" location even if you didnt order "pool" and it makes no sense for the driver and the customer. It is impossible to drop the pin where you are. Why???

We were watching our car pass us by, having to loop around several blocks to go to a "pool" pick-up point half a block up a one-way street. Six extra minutes for the driver and for two of us = 18 minutes wasted just to promote "pool"??? Seriously???

And no, its not a glitch. Its been like this for months now. If it were a glitch, it would have been corrected by now. I must assume its intentional.
