I have been a loyal Uber user for the last 2 years, im a traveling student (which means my income in basically nothing). I took an Uber the other day: Normal ride, no issues, quiet driver. 3 days later I received a notice that I would be charged an extra $80 for a mess that occurred in the back seat during my trip. I reached out to Uber through the app (because unlike LYFT they do not have a customer service number) and tried to explain the situation: like always I was in the front seat as a personal preference, and that mess could not have been caused by me.
I received emails from Uber saying they acknowledge my message but the situation had been "investigated" and they would not refund the amount. I tried for a day responding with emails back and forth trying to get my refund until Uber decided to stop responding. I will no longer be using Uber and I implore you if youre reading this to not waste your time and money. Lyft is just as effective and I have been happy with their service to date. Also they have a customer service phone number, so you can actually talk to someone about any issues! DELETE UBER, DOWNLOAD LYFT!
