Awful Customer Service and Tech
Uber had a fantastic idea to create ride-sharing, but they have made countless errors in the execution of their ideas. The technology behind routing UberPOOLs is terrible. Once I had a driver make a u-turn on the Mass Pike and circle back to basically where my trip has started in downtown Boston just so that he could pick up the third rider in our POOL. Also, there is awful customer service for Uber. This is their biggest mistake. They need to hire actual people to handle their customers issues. Theres also no phone number that you can call in order to speak to someone regarding any specific problems. When you message them through the app, you will almost certainly receive an automated response from someone who clearly didnt read your complaint and is just trying to quickly solve your problem and move on to the next one. They are decent at providing credits towards your next ride(s) without much hassle, but when issues that require actual human intervening arise, Ubers customer service will almost certainly let you down.
