Uber, Where Was My Car?
I scheduled a ride in advance for my father to go to the airport for 5:30 A.M. - this was a business trip so arriving was paramount. I thought everything was great and received a confirmation e-mail and everything was settled. With my being unable to drive and my mother currently taking medical treatments you can see why promptness was important. Forget promptness - while standing on the curb with my father waiting for the car 15 MINUTES past the scheduled arrival time I received a text from Uber saying there were no drivers available in my area. The stress this placed on us trying to get my father to the airport in Houston was not
TERRIBLE. My mother who has not felt good for months and unable to drive was compelled to try. She was able to drive but a less stressful way to find out would have been great. But had my father been on his own his business trip would have been totally messed up. My previous experiences with Uber would have let me recommend them. After the mad scramble of this morning I dont know that I will ever want to ever use Uber again. You may be left standing in front of your house in the early, dark morning getting a message way past the point of helpfulness. Not a fan of Uber. And I cant even complain or leave a bad review directly to Uber because he never got a ride.
