Recently my rating has tanked. I was chatting with a driver and she mentioned these days drivers will give you 1 star if you dont tip. What??? There is no way to tip and it is supposed to be a cashless experience. I dont carry cash and the app doesnt have a tip input. Apparently with a rating of 4.5 most drivers seem to assume I wont tip and wont pick me up. Use Lyft, at least there is a tip section there. Once Uber and their drivers work this out, maybe Ill consider using it again, but it feels like Im taking a taxi these days.

Love the app. Easier than a cab. Less wait time and cheaper. Easy for my teenager to use too. My husband and I use it when our schedules collide and were not able to drive our own cars. Its awesome!

I hate the service

Why doesnt Apple enforce its location services guidelines and make Uber offer a "while using" app option, instead of just either "always" or "never"?

After nearly missing a flight when Uber no-showed for a 5:15 am pickup today, I read the rules of that service on the app. Believe me, the service is a joke - it is nothing more than a scheduled request for a ride. If no driver is available at the time you scheduled, you get no ride. That little detail was in no way made clear when I "scheduled" my pickup. Absolutely worthless and deceptive offering that will prove a costly inconvenience to a lot of first time users of that service. I doubt there will be any second time users.

Frequently overcharge, terrible customer service. Can get the same thing at a better price and better service from multiple competitors. Dont care about riders (or drivers) at all.

Horribly designed, bad custom rep, built around secrecy and just a bad CEO running the company.

So expensive and rider pass option is Not there in my phone but its there in my friends phone.

Easy to use, safe, very handy. Ive never felt overly uncomfortable (more than you would in a strangers car) or threatened in any way. Most drivers have been quite helpful and friendly, in fact. I do wish there was a way to communicate with the driver via message or call beforehand to let them know of any special situations or if they are for example, comfortable transporting shopping bags. Also, I use an iPod to call a car so I dont see an issue with location services being on. As for company ethics, I dont care honestly. Uber provides a great service at an amazing price and I would recommend this to anyone.

Extremely over priced and a rip off. Charged me $70 for a route I had already taken before for $23. Ridiculous and wont write you back about your complaints

As a long time advocate of public transportation, Im astonished that regulatory agencies would so thoroughly abandon their responsibilities, let alone give a free pass to economically enslave a whole new class of workers with no benefits, no retirement, no paid Social Security and all their own expenses. Lyft is luring desperate, out-of-work twenty-somethings into servitude by locking them into leased vehicles they cant afford, making it difficult for them to stop driving when they realize they cant earn a profit after paying for gas, tolls, wear and tear, taxes, health insurance, etc. This happened to one of my nephews. Its astonishing how blind people are to the reality nowadays. The truth is Lyft is evil, just as evil as Uber. Its funny how stupid liberals think Lyft is so much better than Uber when in fact the are identical corporations with the same business model, one just happens to be pink and the other black.

They charged me 3 times for trips I didnt make. Customer service was horrible and I lost that money. I dont want this app anymore.

Couldnt even get an account made (tried several times) because the app kept telling me my passwords were wrong (they werent)

They will take your money, send you horrible drivers, and there is no customer support for anything to avoid dealing with you. Also they update their app every week to wash out bad reviews, the updates dont have any real changes.

Uber just disabled my account citing fraudulent activity, but unable to provide details of said activity. Guess I will have to use Lyft then.

If you havent already, go listen to episode number 271 of the podcast called The Dollop. It goes into great detail what a horrible human Travis Kalanick is, and what a monstrous organization Uber is. Vile. Horrendous. The list is virtually endless of the shady, illegal, DANGEROUS business activities they have engaged in. I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever use Uber again. I feel terrible for ever having used it in the first place. To all drivers for Uber that have been screwed over, to all victims of assault at the hands of Uber drivers that were never properly background checked, to all of those people injured by Uber drivers with atrocious driving records and Uber driverless cars, and anyone else who has fallen victim to this predatory company, I am truly sorry from the bottom of my heart for ever spending a dime to fund these subhuman soulless pig people.

I do love Uber. But one thing I dont like is I feel that when you want to be in a car to yourself you have to pay like this chunk of money. Especially if youre in a hurry to get there or have a work related thing you cant keep pooling with people but other than that I have been using Uber for years. I like it better than lyft. It has a simple easy design and isnt hard to figure out.
