I stopped using this app and now use lyft instead for multiple reasons - the main one being the app could not detect my location when I was at an airport (which is when I most often used it). This basically rendered the app useless. Also, it does not have an in-app tip option and lyft does.

I wouldnt take a ride-share, or ride for that matter, through this company ever again. Their apps algorithm for selecting additional riders is erroneous and you are likely to spend over an hour in transit (often circling back to where you were originally picked up). This then translates to you, the unsuspecting customer, paying the normal rate for taking a solo ride that distance even though you thought that you got to have a subsidized ride-sharing rate. I have had too many issues to count and Uber customer service is never willing to make it right.

I was picked from different direction and ubber showed that i was picked from another direction.I left my car on another different direction and i went to pick up my car in the morning to pick my car using ubber address that they said they pick me up and it was n it was different area ,then i had to call my car dealer to look on gps n tell me where my car is at n i found it was 7 miles away from the address show on ubber

What happened to allowing location services only when this app is running? How is it a good thing to let UBER drain my phone battery by always having my location? Im switching to Lyft until UBER changes this. 12/30/16 Theyre still doing it. Ill keep checking and updating my review. 2/11/17 Uber is still a stalker. 3/2/17 Uber is still a battery sucking stalker. 3/10/17 Another update, still no change. Updating this review is starting to become an outlet for my disappointment. 3/29/17 Yup. UBER still done nothing to fix this. 4/6/17 UBER is still a 1 star battery sucking stalker app. Im sticking with LYFT 4/14/17 Another wasted UBER update, they still want my battery life. 5/1/17 Another update, no change. Funny thing... LYFT has majority 5 star rating... hmmm 5/16/17 Several updates later, no change, still happy using LYFT. I gunna give it a few months before I check again.

Hope they burn to the ground. Use Lyft.

Whats with this relatively new interface? Prior one was so much friendlier. Now has tiny street names font, hard to see how many Ubers are nearby (just tiny car icons now), small font to enter start and destination, and then they appear in boxes that obscure the map, no way to see full screen map while booking. Really just an awful user interface.

I tried this service/app because my friends have used it and it worked for them. Needless to say for me I was unsuccessful and no support! The app asks you to let Uber have access to your location at all times. Uber has rejected my unemployment benefits card and my prepaid debit card which both work online or in store no problem for other merchants. I verified my balance and made sure my bank didnt reject it. I dont get why uber would reject it without reason. "uber unable to accept payment. Please try another method of payment." Not happy. Would love to use the service but I find it funny because they must not want to make money. No support. Privacy issues . And picky about payment . Just know from friends who work at banks, a card can be authorized for the amount of purchase if they have the balance and the merchant will get their money as they already authorized it. Sorry uber doesnt sound like you care about doing business. I dont care that my cards are prepaid. Isnt a checking or savings prepaid??????? lol. US bank and net spend take fraud seriously like any other bank so why would you reject them?

You do not have to use expensive taxis with old cars anymore!

Been a uber driver and spending millions on ads and building automatic cars and trucks , cant make a transparent payment method of what a customer pays and what driver gets . Customer pays $23.00 and driver receives only $15.00 on top of that uber fees and what drivers get $12.00 .. what a joke

Itd be nice if the apps could save searching history. Because, it is troublesome to type frequent destinations each time if I just want to check traffic expenses.

Why dont you give an option to only use location when the app is open? Its intrusive to ask for location even when the app is not being used... I understand there are plenty of data reasons you want always on access to location, but thats the point... starting to feel way too much privacy loss.

It is so annoying to have updates so frequently!! You obviously need better programmers. Why not make real fixes, test thoroughly and stop just making updates apparently just to make updates!

Why on earth is there not a "while using" setting for location services? I find it very disturbing that you insist to constantly monitor our locations. I cant speak for others, but I would gladly pay a small price ($1.99 or less) for a "premium/ pro" app that offers the option to only use location services while the app is open.

Go search uber god view and then decide if you really want them to ALWAYS have access to your location.

I am not of fan of all these updates at all. Also the size of the updates is ridiculous, 200mb almost every time. Thats insane. These are iPhone not androids we cant just pop in an sd card and expand the memory whenever we choose.

I have to delete the app and reload it every time I want to use it because I can run one request and it never "completes" the action and stays stuck on the "driver enroute" even after the driver has picked me up and dropped me off!!

The app is very limited; cannot even retrieve your password if you forget it. And now - it keeps trying to update, and it crashes - so its completely unusable. Even tried deleting it, to reinstall it - but does not even allow you to delete it!!! You can press delete all you want, it confirms, then does nothing! Still "reinstalling " for the last couple of weeks!!!

Updated 5/22: This is still a 1 star app! 1) Uber is the only app that forces its users to enable "always" location tracking. Sorry, wont allow it - bye!!! 2) Unable to leave a comment or send customer service any feedback on driver. The existing options are only safety related, which proves that Uber doesnt care about anything else!
