Worst customer service ever. Lyft is much better, and cheaper.

I used Uber a lot over the past several years... but now Uber has run totally off the rails. Their privacy setting for the app pretty much wants you give them full access to your exact location ALL the time. I dont want Uber to have the capability to track my exact location 24x365. All-the-time GPS drains batteries too. This is just stupid Uber. But I am happy to report one AWESOME thing about Ubers major privacy failures - Uber convinced me to try Lyft and Fasten. Both are excellent, less expensive alternatives to Uber, and without the personal privacy abuses offered by Uber. Thanks Uber, for showing me that there are better fish in the sea. Original Review: Since the app and service are tightly coupled, my review is for both. Overall, very good. Generally better than a cab. I have had one problem driver - crazy guy - but likely no less crazy than some cab drivers I have had. App could be easier to use, but it is quite good.

I was charged and not refunded for a ride that routed me to the incorrect destination -- twice. The trip took 5x longer than expected. I requested a refund through the app, and was met with boilerplate responses which completely disregarded what I said. Customer service representatives repeatedly tried to mark the issue as resolved when it clearly was not. Previously, I was apathetic about the Uber vs Lyft debate -- both companies are extremely exploitative at heart. However, due to my atrocious experience with customer service, I will be using Lyft from this point forward.

Always on location access for a company that lies cheats its way out of regulators and lies to investors.

It would be cool if you could reserve an Uber, like you know you have something coming up so you put in a request a few days before.

Screwing up the bookkeeping on your New York drivers (where I live, that is) is the last straw for me. You guys dont pay enough attention to detail. Lyft it is!

Theres no reason Uber needs to track me 24/7 even when Im not using the app. Please bring back the option to track my location while using the app and I might consider using the Uber app again.

I agree with the others, Uber uses location tracking to identify and blacklist regulators. To do so, they track everyone even when not using the app. They could have easily added the option to track while using the app. Im switching to lyft as well

Really Love this app i wish i can get more free trips ?

I scheduled a pick up and had the estimate show $40-50. Took a quick nap, got up, and caught my Uber at the scheduled time. When I got to my destination I saw the bill was over $210. I received no notification. Uber took off 25% but left me with a $160 bill for a 20 minute drive. I have no idea how they are legally allowed to bait and switch fares like this.

Uber, Are you too dense to realize that you need to fix the limited options that you provide in the location services setting? I refuse to use your services until you give the option to only use my location while I am using the app.

I tried using my Walmart money card and your system wont take it, I tried PayPal and it keeps saying the password is incorrect when I JUST logged in using my password, USELESS SERVICE

I like this app and really works in Canada!!

This app requires waaay too many updates, tracks your location even when the app is not in use and Uber has been involved with some sketchy stuff (using deceptive tactics with police forces, making incorrect claims about how much drivers make, encouraging use of Uber when taxis were protesting Trumps actions). Gross, gross, gross, Uber has gone too far down the wrong path. :(

This app has revolutionized the cab experience for me. Ill never go back. Inexpensive, safe, reliable, convenient -- simply an amazing app thats revolutionizing transportation in cities globally.

I will not be using this app anymore. Because I declined letting the app keep tracking my location even while I am not using the app, it is now next to useless. Good thing I still have Lyft installed, because with Uber there is not an option in the privacy tab in the phones Settings app for setting the tracking of location "Only While Using", like there is for other apps (Including Lyft).
