Twice Ive been taken on a wild goose chase and I had to tell the driver where to go he said he was following the Uber GPS which was taking him all over the place for no reason at all I dont have time to drive around !!please update your GPS system thank you

Always a great service that has changed the way I get around.

I used to like using Uber a lot when it first came out and thought it better than Lyft but now i find myself constantly using Lyft after repeatedly waiting for Uber drivers who would constantly go the other direction from where they should be picking me up. Not only that now Uber wing pick me up at my requested location but will default to a nearby street which becomes inconvenient especially when the weather is bad. Lyft has no such problems and the cost is comparable. Uber please fix your gps and business model

An app to tour the city by taking the most trafficked routes to pick people up completely on the other side of town from you.

One star for not enabling the option of only using location services while app is in use. I only rarely use Uber and I dont need my battery drained by having location services on 24/7. Not to mention the privacy issues. Just give me the option to have the app find my location when I start it. Typing in my address is a horrible user experience -- why does Uber want people to decide between bad UX or no batttery?

Location services are always on for no reason

You took away the option of sharing location only while using the app. Guess whats easier than having to go into my settings every time to re-enable location and disable location?? ...using Lyft from now on. Put location sharing back to the users choice. ADDITIONALLY, I consider this company to be a bunch of scumbags for releasing a new update every few days to wipe out the negative reviews. There are no real updates to the app. If there were it would be from listening to the rage of their users and giving back the option of location while only using the app. And Ill continue to give 1 star until they do! Update: Uber recently sent an email "noticing" that I disabled location for the App. Well no crap, thats what happens when you dont care about user privacy. Im sure they had to send out a lot of those emails to others. My location will remain disabled until they bring back the option for only when using the app, and my business continues to go to Lyft.

Uber app tracks you location even if you are not using it. Combining this with the todays report that uber tried to track your identity even after you deleted its app in 2015, I can clear see that this is a really shady company. Latest update (may 22) still has all or nothing for location privacy setting. Really terrible.

Always demands location ... not even accurate . I was billed for ride without riding ... twice... how is that even possible , Im done !!

Treats there drivers poorly and unfairly. After costs drivers make way below minimum wage and the company discourages tips even though its a service industry. There rating system serves no point since there is no incentive to maintain a high rating. Great concept but unfortunately horrible business practices. 3 per mile reductions/pay cuts in less than a year and now Uber takes 25% instead of 20% cut of fare. Greedy employer that doesnt care nor acknowledges drivers as employees!

Website only directs you to the app for customer support. App just shuffles you around the FAQ without any real help.

Ubers always on location tracking is not for your benefit or convenience, they are selling the information to a variety of companies that are using the information for concerning reasons. Tracking where you go and when. I.e. Do you go to the party store and how often. Dont trust them! This is the truth because I work for a company that was trying to sell us your information. They site the source as uber and waze

Fix the location always and Ill come back. Get it together Uber

Constant updates but yet no actual notes as to what is being updated? Yet another app thats hit the lazy train and following this new trend of not telling us what our bandwidth is being used for. Also, needing to always know my location, rather than only when using app? Smells like invasion of privacy. Getting deleted. Think Ill use normal taxis from now on. Good bye

The main reason why people liked Uber is a simplicity of application and convenience of service. We new developments service became more complicated. The mandatory final destination address makes customer spend en extra time. In case the address entered incorrect, driver cant go before changes are made. And if internet is slow or unavailable- there is no way to make this change. P.S. Totally disappointed in Uber as service. The latest practice to charge customers a full fare BEFORE service provided is unlawful. I wait for class action law suit against Uber to join it.

There is absolutely no reason that you need to have my location services always available. None. Switch back to "when using app" and I will go back to five stars.

Wants 24/7 access to gps location - not just when using the app. KNOCK IT OFF WITH THE SPYWARE. Give us back the "when using app" option.
