Privacy invasion

Why do you need to access my location all the time? This is an invasion of privacy. And stop updating every 3 days we all know youre just trying to get rid of the bad reviews.

Service is good, app is good. Please remove LOCATION ALWAYS - its terrible and biggest minus, takes battery a lot. :(

Im completely done with Uber as a whole. Theyve now charged me for multiple rides that I never took (they were in different states 1000s of miles away) and refuse to refund me. More so, I was charged $70.99 for a flat rate $29.00 ride. I reached out to them multiple times and they never responded. Their customer service is appalling. Changing to Lyft.

Lets start with how there is no number to call and Uber Support is utterly useless since we get no reply for a day or two. Next I constantly received an error in which it did not say what exactly was wrong with the ride request. After trying a couple more times, then it says there was an error with the card. Keep in mind it tells me this AFTER I tried a couple more times while receiving the useless error code. So I went on the website and my card did not meet any of the requirements that would point to a dull credit card. So I tried another card, you know, another working card and it still does not work. DO NOT RIDE UBER.

Driver arrived quickly on an evening in downtown Atlanta. Was pleasant and efficient.

One star for not enabling the option of only using location services while app is in use. I only rarely use Uber and I dont need my battery drained by having location services on 24/7. Not to mention the privacy issues. Just give me the option to have the app find my location when I start it. Typing in my address is a horrible user experience.

Warning: READ TERMS OF SERVICE update. Edit: Due to Uber being run under terrible, unethical leadership which spies on you, breaks the law, breaks their own privacy policy and Apples privacy policy, CEO Travis keeps digging himself into a hole. Deleted. This new app cant get your location accurately even though it must know where you are at all times even when Im not using the app. Worse yet, theres no longer a way to drop your pin at your desired pickup location!!!! Why?!?!? I picked up 10 people the other day 7 of them had grossly incorrect locations for pickup, I realize its not the riders fault, its this apps fault. Sometimes riders need to drop a pin not just where they ARE but where theyre going to be. This new way doesnt allow them to do this. EDIT: There is a way to do this but you have to set your destination then click on current location before requesting. I think a lot of people will skip this an will ultimately increase the time I have to wait for the rider or the time I have to drive around to find the rider. This should be easier.

Since no-idea-when update, Uber has offered only two options: your location all the time; no location at all. Why the fess? I uninstalled the app and use Lyft only now. Its so ironic that I used Uber in the first place, years ago. And I witnessed how Uber lost in almost every battle it had with Lyft. God bless you.

When I try to request a ride, the app would say request failed. Then 15 minutes later when Im already on a bus, tell me my driver is arriving. Charges me $5 for canceling. Absurd and infuriating.

Uber was meant to be used for a cashless experience-they need to make it optional to tip your drivers on the app. I dont usually carry cash on me and I wanted to tip my driver but had no way of doing so.
