With a update cycle surely meant to refresh the ratings only, this is the app expression of the Uber bsuiness model.

If you let app track location only while using the app, I will make this my primary ride share app. I get $15 monthly credit to use this app, I still dont use it because this app asks for more permissions then it actually need to do its job. There is no reason why I should let Uber track all my location and visits wherever I go walking, running, in transit, biking, by driving or by Lyft. Please fix it.

The drivers can rate me, I can rate the drivers... and I can rate you

Stop tracking people 24/7. Add the option to only use my location when using the app back again. I only use Lyft now because of this.

First of all, if you haven’t taken a ride yet make sure you use the coupon “arezooa" to get $20 off your first ride!! Enter it right before you request a ride. Go to the Payment tab in the app and enter the coupon under promotions. Might as well try it out since it wont cost you a thing! The app is simple, easy to use and intuitive by design, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make and model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy!!! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!!!

Please update the formatting when you email receipts. I use uber for business travel and have 3-4 pages from Outlook (including a map view that I dont need) when I attempt to print receipts. Its a horrible experience considering everything else was sleek and easy

THIS IS THE WORST APP I HAVE EVER USED IN MY LIFE!!! I WAS STUCK OVER 45 MINUTES BECAUSE IT CLAIMED I OWED MONEY WHICH I DIDNT!!! ENDED UP USING LYFT!! NO customer service!!! Will never use again!!!!

Its invasive to need it 24/7.

Nice new features, location always ON and we dont have the choice for "only when I use the app" option.

Use it multiple times everyday. I would like the location of the driver and user to be more accurate. If I put a location the driver sees something different for example. The app is extremely reliable never have problems getting a driver within 5 minutes!

Uber as a company is pretty much the worst. Every one loves it now when its so cheap, but lets see how great they once taxis have been driven out of business and they jack up the price. The app itself is not great. Its fairly easy to use, but the location tracking is crap. Ive used uber 3 times, and theyve never picked me up from the right spot. Also once an uber was about three blocks away from picking me up and suddenly cancelled, and yet I was still charged. What is that? So shady.

Location is either on or off. Uber does not give you the location option "when using app". Then I read even when you delete the Uber app, Uber still creepily tracks you. Use Lyft, the good guys.

I will not be using this app anymore. Because I declined letting the app keep tracking my location even while I am not using the app, it is now next to useless. Good thing I still have Lyft installed, because with Uber there is not even an option in the privacy tab in the phones Settings app for setting the tracking of location "Only While Using", like there is for other apps (Including Lyft).

And the Watch app is unreliable

Switching to Lyft since they seem to appreciate privacy more than Uber. Give us back the "only when using" option and Ill be back! See ya! Update - Its been 3 months and Lyft works perfectly...glad I ditched Uber in February!

This app tracks users even when they are not using the app. I have to turn off GPS function and rely on typing in ZIP to get a ride. Now whenever I go to a new place where I dont know its ZIP I have no way to book a Uber ride. Now I use Lyft for good.

What a pile of crap. The five star ratings are mostly shady marketing from the company or really friendly people that want to give you a code so that you save money - not so that they benefit from you. No no no - never. These anonymous people just want you to save money. Really? Weekly updates are only to erase the one star reviews. Ridiculous.

I wish I could give it zero stars. Uber wants to track me all the time? No way!

I stopped using Waze for the same reason and Im not going to share my location all the time with Uber either.
