Yeah... I tried using uber but it was difficult for me to even close my account so I just deleted the app and switched to @lyft ?SO MUCH happier
No release notes = 1-star review. If youre just including bug fixes try: "bug fixes". Also, you could just release less frequently if you dont have anything worth releasing, you know, to not waste your users bandwidth and the App Store reviewers time. I keep this app on my phone because the service is great, and I use it when traveling. Next time there are release notes Ill bump the rating to 5 stars.
Use promo aarons19037ue to get 30 bucks in credit for your rides! Cool app and usually better rates in my experience than Lyft. Also, Ive never had any drivers cancel on me either, unlike Lyft. Wish there was an option to tip my driver though
This might be longer so settle in. - Uber offers a great service that can be like magic if every part works and thats the great part about the company. Ive used uber for over half a year in Singapore and it allowed me to travel through the city at odd times without having to rely on sign language while communicating with the mostly Chinese speaking taxi drivers. Uber has revolutionised this aspect of transportation and it was always a breeze to find drivers in Singapore. Now to the amazing uber service: My iPhone got stolen in the Philippines and I activated lost mode through the find my iPhone app but the thief ordered food via uber eats a week later in London to three different public locations. Cost totalling to about £120 between my visa and MasterCard. I reported this incident to PayPal which was used for my Visa card, uber and the bank that issued my MasterCard. Paypal and UBER had outstanding customer service and refunded the money within 3 days to my account. The bank that issued the MasterCard said it was all my fault and wouldnt want to grant a refund but UBER transferred the money anyway - now I have all my money back and Im deeply thankful for uber for coming through and really helping me out. I do understand it is my fault to get my phone stolen and I do understand that not every company would have granted a refund. So good on you UBER for being awesome in this particular situation. THANKS! And to everyone reading this: HAVE A PASSCODE FOR THE UBER APP IF YOU HAVE YOUR CREDITCARD INFO STORED!
App has basic functionality - surprised given the success of Uber. You can only rate the last driver-- so if you have multiple rides a day you have to rate a driver right after a ride. We should be allowed to see the ratings of all drivers nearby and select the driver we want -- that will encourage users to rate drivers and ensure high quality of Uber driver service as users will select the drivers with high ratings. Only 50% of my rides have been good service - thats not a good percentage - Uber will need to up their quality if they dont want customers turning back to taxis, short-term car rentals or other car sharing services.
Very happy each time I have used uber drivers. Great app

I have Narcolepsy (when you fall asleep and cant control it) and was told that I no longer should be driving. The same day I found that out I got a promo for flat fares for $4.99. I almost cried with excitement! I used Uber twice or more almost everyday. Uber has made my life so much safer! Sending a BIG THANK YOU to Uber! ❤️
How could it possibly be worse?
The map is really bad and drivers would arrive at the wrong location and I need to try to find the driver, sometimes drivers just leave without calling me or answering my call when I try to find them. A lot of times drivers take the wrong route that costs me more money.
Never Uber before and was in my first car in 5 minutes from the time I decided to go. And that included downloading the app and entering all the info!

Enforce your terms of service! Not only is this agains your own terms if service, it illegal for rideshare and taxi drivers to transport unaccompanied minors. Drivers should not have those cancellations count against them. Drivers should also not be penalized for cancelling a ride after waiting the required wait time. Drivers are not paid for waiting prior to pickup so thwre is no incentive to wait any longer than 2min. for Uberpool and 5 for UberX Then there are the parents that request a ride with their children, but dont have proper restraints. The other day I had a lady tried having me give her a ride while carrying her newborn infant. I am not going to put a child in harms way and I should not get penalized for trying to keep them safe.
Service is ok, but control over the customers is excessive. I used to pay for my rides in both the US and Mexico using apple pay on my iphone (my account is US based). Now it doesnt work in Mexico anymore, forcing me to enter my credit card info because Uber purposely blocked it based on location. Thats an unnecessary and excessive control over the customers. Apple Pay is just a credit card payment, and users based in a country where apple pay is already available should still be allowed to use it in any other country they travel to. It does not matter whether apple pay is supported in that other country or not, because even if its not, apple pay will still be recognized by the local payment system as a valid credit card. I can prove that because I used it in Mexico just fine until Uber purposely blocked it based on location. Since then, I get an error "apple pay not available in this region" when I request a ride in Mexico and choose apple pay as payment. I dont like being controlled that way.
I have tried over 10 times to get someone in customer support to actually help me but they all send me canned statements that they copied and pasted from their how to help a customer guides. Dont even bother...try Lyft instead and leave Uber behind. Here is what I am trying to get them to help me on and the messages I sent them. Hello, I used Uber for the first time yesterday and my payment for my first ride went through. Now Im having issues with my second ride I took a couple of hours later. I tried using the help feature on the app and so far I have had 6 different ppl message me back and it looks like none of them coordinate with anyone so they are all stepping over each other. I want to make sure the driver gets paid and I have already contacted my bank and they said that there is no issue on their end. Please help me make it right to the driver!! He was very nice and I want to make sure he gets the payment promised to him. Please help!!!!!
Worst App Ever never install it
By allowing drivers only cash tips youve created a terrible cycle. I usually tip my drivers but Ive noticed on a couple times where I didnt have cash on me, drivers expected it and gave me a lower rating because of such. This would solved by in app tipping. This is one of the reasons why I use Lyft far more often. Please please change!
One of the best features in Uber app is compatibility with voiceover for blind and visually impaired, I actually depend on voiceover to use Uber and so happy for Great accessibility features There is a great feature we missed since you change Uber design is the price after each trip, in old design; we can see the price for the trip in the ratings page. We can see the driver name and the place where we went to, and the price for that trip; and the bottom of the page we can find the rating options. But in new design; we can see the price for the trip, we just see driver name and the place where we went to, and the rating options. If we want to know the price; we should go to the email and wait for receipts to delivered. The accessibility issue which talk about in the title of this review is in the trip page: there is unlabeled button at the bottom of the page, this button actually expands the card options, seeing as the previews button which labeled as "The fare of this trip is" Thanks for the great app, and sorry about The linguistic mistakes...
