REMOVE LOCATION ALWAYS

Totally unnecessary and very creepy to _always_ track our location. They took away the option to use it while the app is running only. Turned that off. This pushed me to try Lyft, which is now my first choice. No different from Uber, except they somehow dont need to always track me. Ubers privacy policy basically states that they can use the data that they collect however they want and sell it to whomever they want. Buyer beware. Update: havent used or opened the app since this update. Just got an email saying that I have it turned off and please turn it on. That is creepy as hell. I trust them 0% to know how to use private data.

Always on location access for a company that lies cheats its way out of regulators and lies to investors.

The prices of the rides have risen way too high. This is very unfair to those who have stood by uber since the beginning. A ride that used to be $8 is now upped to almost $12. If this does not change, I will be switching to lyft.

You took away the option of sharing location only while using the app. Guess whats easier than having to go into my settings every time to re-enable location and disable location?? ...using Lyft from now on. Put location sharing back to the users choice. ADDITIONALLY, I consider this company to be a bunch of scumbags for releasing a new update every few days to wipe out the negative reviews. There are no real updates to the app. If there were it would be from listening to the rage of their users and giving back the option of location while only using the app. And Ill continue to give 1 star until they do! Update: Uber recently sent an email "noticing" that I disabled location for the App. Well no crap, thats what happens when you dont care about user privacy. Im sure they had to send out a lot of those emails to others. My location will remain disabled until they bring back the option for only when using the app, and my business continues to go to Lyft.

On a normal ride from downtown to my apartment is $22 but on one Thursday night that didnt seem very busy they charged me $88. The driver was very nice which is why I gave them 2 stars but I will never use uber again. Ill try lyft and go back to taxis before using this app again.

First off here is a code for $10 off your first ride. Go to payments and in the promo section add kiiyanawue. Uber is great I understand that sharing your location constantly is annoying but if your like me who only needs u we when its during everyone else work times. Just delete it and add it back or turn your location off until you need it again. But uber should listen to the concerns and change the location tracking to only when using app. Other than that your personal experiences are based on who your driver is.

In order to use the app effectively you have to have the privacy setting allow the app to track your location even when not using the app.

This app tracking ur location even if ure not using it. Decreases battery life !

First of all, if you haven’t taken a ride yet make sure you use the coupon “arezooa" to get $20 off your first ride!! Enter it right before you request a ride. Go to the Payment tab in the app and enter the coupon under promotions. Might as well try it out since it wont cost you a thing! The app is simple, easy to use and intuitive by design, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make and model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy!!! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!!!

There is still no way to only enable location sharing only when using the app. Having location sharing on all the time is a deal breaker for me. Uber: Re enable the option to only share when using the app.

Use this app about 3x a week. Very thankful for it and how easy it is!

I always have an issue driver always gets lost since townhouses are new in my complex and apartments are in the back they never see my apart # displayed in their gps.

I just updated my app and now I cant login in due to a error that it saids ! Annoying

The app takes you to longer ways instead of relying on the Waze technology that indicates traffic and problems. Also, if youre going to the airport with a family of 5 and lots of luggage, beware; Uber does not allow you to pick a Minivan so good luck finding a car that fits everyone and everything. And if you cancel it because no one fits; then you get charged.

1st time we tried there was a creepy Asian dude he was sooo quiet it was weird, second time was a super chill 50 year old dude so its a win win cause you still get where you wanna go (unless you get murdered) ?

Why is only use my location "only while using the app" no longer available? Leaving a one star reviews until you restore this. I used to use Uber all the time but now I only use it when there are no other options.

Uber is not like before , they getting worse and worse and nowadays I noticed a lot of new drivers that they dont know what they are doing. Would defiantly recommend lyft or Juno!

App is ok, but 1). I will never allow my location to ALWAYS be monitored, but wouldnt mind allowing this while I use the app only. 2). The app is missing an obvious feature: I cannot delete a payment option. If its there and Im missing something, please let me know.
