Now that Lyft is in Lafayette, LA I decided to give it a try. Was very dissatisfied. Booked a ride from my home to Rouses Market which is a little over 2 miles away and quickly canceled when realized the ride Charge was $15.00. That is insane. Uber only charges $5.35 for that trip. Even when Uber is in a surge the ride Charge isnt near $15.00. Plus the Uber app tells you your fee before you book the ride. Tried to check it on Lyft and it said N/A. Attempted to contact customer service, but got no reply. Maybe Lyft will get better, but for me Uber all the way. App is very blind friendly, app is very user friendly, drivers are always very friendly and helpful, wait time never very long and the price is great. Have even met some really good friends. And have always had great help from their customer support. I have listened to a lot of negative reviews about Uber and Ive never experienced any of it. And if you use a smart phone youre being tracked anyway, so being tracked by Uber doesnt bother me. People these days just need something to complain about. No matter how petty.

I am from Bangladesh . Today I rode with their taxi, it was seem to be over billed charged to me, they hide the meter. So one could not trace the billing while they are in the ride .

App will tell you your driver is "now arriving" for 5 or more minutes before the driver actually shows up. Seems like antics to get you standing outside waiting so the driver doesnt have to wait. Reviewing a driver has to be done as soon as they drop you off, so if you arent looking at your phone as youre getting out of their car you cant rate them.

I dont like making reviews on justa single ride but given the recent reputation of Uber and Uber drivers in general, I feel I must. Literally had a driver kick me out of the ride because I was going to Brooklyn and he didnt want to go to Brooklyn. Cant even make a complaint because Uber just doesnt care. Im glad youre getting all the bad press because thats just the tip of the iceberg

This app takes way too long to download. I wish we can go online to use and not use the app

Everything is perfect, but I wish there was a way to tip the drivers with the card, I hardly ever carry cash on me.

I downloaded this App to use Uber while traveling in Sweden. Oh my goodness. What a nightmare. First it told me I had to update my phone number. When I did that it told me that that number was in use by someone else. Duh, the someone else was me. No way to contact anyone to resolve the issue and I was stuck. Fortunately, an angel came along from Taxikurir and got me to where I needed to be. NEVER USE UBER AGAIN. Now I know why I deleted it before. Thanks for the reminder Uber.

This app has been a godsend for me. Thanks to it, I was able to bring my fiancé over. I dont know why so many people are whining about it, because the last few times Ive used it, it was great.

The app updates lack of options for location services privacy options is unacceptable. Having Uber follow me around for five minutes AFTER my ride is over is just plain creepy. And theres no way to know if theyre limiting their tracking to only that timeframe. This, alongside the mysterious lack of information around surcharge pricing, are enough reason to switch to the other guys.

When I tried to get an Uber 2 times in a row, I couldnt get any as it showed me a "failed attempt" msg. It didnt stop there, the Uber then for some reason automatically got me another Uber car (I didnt request it this time) after I got on a cab. And proceed to charge me a S$6 fee for cancelling.

Waiving rider and driver scores in everyones face and terrible driver pandering. Try actually caring about the driver and rider experience than threatening everyone. So I breath in the car and I can get rated poorly? Get out with this nonsense. Your model is broken like your morals. 100% lyft user from now on.

This company runs a scam. I booked a trip, driver did not show up and charged me the trip, I deal with customer support and they say based on my past history they have reason to believe that this trip happened, are they kidding me? I had all the evidence with me and the driver never showed up (he drove to another location and let me wait while I had a flight to catch) then uber says the trip happened, this is beyond insane. No wonder they deserved all the best press lately and if there is a negative ration I will put that -1 star instead.

Go to the Payment tab in the app and enter the coupon under promotions. Might as well try it out since it wont cost you a thing! The app is simple, easy to use and intuitive by design, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make and model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy!!! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!!!
