Terrible company ethics
Requested an uber so I could get to work. App told me the uber had arrived so I went downstairs only to find that he wasnt outside, but rather on another street going the opposite direction. I called several times with no answer so I decided to just cancel the ride since after waiting seven extra minutes, I was now running late. They charged me a cancellation fee that they refused to refund onto my card, stating that it was "credited to my account," even though I explained the situation. Then they had the nerve to say that the discussion was "closed." Long story short: I was late to work and lost $5 for something that wasnt my fault. Thanks, uber.
I got the app cause my car broke down and I needed to get to work. Turns out the drivers dont know where you are headed until they either ask you through text beforehand or arrive to your house. Both guys cancelled on me for some reason.
This guy is being investigated currently do too stealing your information. Do not download.
Constantly lies about arrival time. Says 4 minutes - driver arrives in 15. Same thing over 7 rides I took. Ridiculous waste of time. Same thing when I drove for uber. Said client is 5 minutes away and it took 15 to get to him.
Today I took Uber carpool it takes longer time and changed me almost same price as uberX. It is really unreasonable. I think I will never request an umber again!
Love it. Great new features added all the time.
Miss the old version. Plus any app that always wants my location gets lowest rating possible.
The app is a good app. It has the potential to be a innovative technology and service for taxis.. The only thing is sometimes the app does not compute the location correctly.:( bummer Update: customer service is horrible, they do NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER AT ALL

Started off as a good idea. Whole company is incompetent. EVERY single ride I am overcharged from my credit card and refunded because of their mistake but refunded uber credits. Now I have a bunch of uber credits Im still being overcharged when I use. It is sad and ridiculous how bad this app is. A bunch of bird brains working there. Flat fare is a scam. I got 3.99 a ride and it still charges me 15$

This app always gets updated in a way that makes it less user friendly. Features are removed with no explanation (I dont know why I couldnt review my driver immediately after my past trip, even though I had always had that opportunity).
This is the first time Ive ever written a review but being that the app has become so bad I had to. Uber worked fine for a year but recently its glitches, canceled rides, and "request failure" have gotten out of hand with their email only customer service doing a poor job of fixing problems. I just switched to Lyft this week and havent gotten the issues so far
First of all, if you haven’t taken a ride yet make sure you use the coupon above to get $20 off your first ride!!! Enter it right before you request a ride. Go to the promotions tab on the app and enter the coupon there. Might as well try it out since it probably wont cost you a thing!!! The app is easy to use and intuitive, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make/model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button!!! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water and candy! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have car chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a cab again. Even if you want to get a black car on the occasional night out, it’s still cheaper and more convenient than hiring your own private driver. The customer support is also fantastic!!! I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away.
I can no longer rate my driver from the app and I stopped receiving those convenient push notifications. What happened, Uber?

I dont know if its a matter of GPS but Uber Drivers ALWAYS get lost. Ive been an user for 8 months now and 99% of the times that I request Uber, no matter where I am, they NEVER know the right route so it takes them more time than expected to get to the correct address (when picking up). So, estimated time is always Wrong because the drivers never know how to get to your location. No problem, you can always cancel and its free of charge if they take more time than what they calculated, right? Not Quite! You try to cancel and, even though its been more time than what they said, Uber charges you $5 because its been more than 5 minutes since you requested the ride. Price is fine, it may vary depending on the traffic. But is not the best option if you are in a rush. You have to fix this or get drives who actually know how to follow the directions that the GPS give to them.
Just know they can change the price of price of your ride at any point until your ride is over without notifying, even after quoting you a price. The problem isnt the drivers, its the company itself; they are unreliable and unprofessional, and customer service literally does not exist.
