The worst app

This app doesnt even allow you to customize location.

Price up, service down

I can deal with the fact that my normal trip of a mile and a half has gone from $5.50-7.00 in just over a year. I can deal with the fact that customer service can never be good without the option of actually speak to a human being. My peeve is that when I got a new debit card and tried to update the info, it wouldnt accept it. Sent back and forth emails to no real help. (You should check with your bank.). Like many good things, success has ruined what was a cheaper, safer way to get around.

Text too small to read - no option for zooming in

I hate this app. Text too small to read and there is no way to either zoom in or increase font size in the app. I can barely read the driver name, make of car or license plate. Not safe for passengers. Still hate this app. And now location it picks is way off.

Compensation

Their compensation system is horrible. Even though rides are cancelled by the driver, the customer has to suffer.

Location always? No thank you.

Scrap the stalker idea. Ill give my money to LYFT.

Absolutely hate it

This is the worst app ever!!! How this app dont let you delete credit card info!!!! Will be monitoring my account due to uber!!! Dont use!!! Lyft is much better ?!!!

Uber doesnt care

Uber doesnt seem to care what their customers and drivers want. Uber took away the option to track a passengers location only when using the app. Now, the app wants to always track your location. Customers have been complaining about this for months and Uber wont bring back the option to track location only when using the app. They still havent added the option to tip drivers in the app. Fortunately, Lyft allows tipping in the app and only needs to track location while using the app.

What happened with the "Ride Pass" option for iPhone...???

All Android phones have the "Ride Pass" option to buy!! Why cant I get it on my iPhone???? Its absurd!! UBER says it updates every week for improvement...??? I dont see any!!!

Unprofessional

We shouldnt have to wait 5 min for a driver to cancel on us. We should have the ability to rate a driver who decides to cancel. That is unprofessional and unacceptable. Do your job please!

First of all, if you haven’t taken a ride yet make sure you use the coupon above to get $20 off your first ride!!! Enter it right before you request a ride. Go to the promotions tab on the app and enter the coupon there. Might as well try it out since it probably wont cost you a thing!!! The app is easy to use and intuitive, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make/model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button!!! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water and candy! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have car chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a cab again. Even if you want to get a black car on the occasional night out, it’s still cheaper and more convenient than hiring your own private driver. The customer support is also fantastic!!! I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away.

No option to turn off location

WHY do I need to let Uber track my every movement?! They should have access to location while using the app as an option (like they used to)!! The App will work if you dont give it location, but then tells you there are no cars available. However, if you turn location sharing back on, suddenly, there are plenty of cars available. Fix this issue with location!! Clearly there are plenty of people who care!

Track my location all the time? Ha! Like I trust you …

1May2017 update: still no "while using the app" location service option, still not using Uber at all. This has to be one of the most arrogant things Uber has tried to date. As long as they dont allow the option to share location only while in the app I wont be using them. Its Lyft instead.

Flawed app

Inefficient pick up Riders app is allowed to send and drivers app is allowed to receive such a poor quality pick-up data (wrong addresses due to pin dropping, wrong side of the street, wrong pick-ups in alleyways, block ranges instead of street numbers, etc.), that the rider has to confirm the address over the phone for the driver to manually enter it into Waze or Google maps. Novice drivers drive to pins instead of confirmed addresses, which leads to "one star" experience for riders. The riders are still not allowed to submit their photos for easier pick-ups, so they sometimes have to call and tell the driver who to look for. Substandard ETA estimates by Uber navigation have riders rushing out of the door or waiting outside. Safety: Riders cant request the trip only from those drivers who submitted their fingerprints for taxicab-style background check. Safety issues during the trip There is no appropriate drivers vetting and mandatory security video monitoring during the ride to assure the riders safety. Inconvenient, inefficient tipping Lack of in-app option forces riders to use third party apps (Square Cash, Venmo or Paypal) for tipping, which is tedious for both riders and drivers. Other problems The riders are forced to share their location with Uber 24/7.

Truly absurd

Customer service has been ignoring me for weeks after a false cleaning fee charged to my account. Had to go through my credit card to get it refunded and then Uber disabled my account. Really great customer service guys, keep it up.

Almost awesome

Unable to use prepaid cards. Other than that, just fine.
