The most shady company ever, build. Y the greediest people ever. Does not treat drivers well and takes large portions of their income after tax and tracks down customers even if you delete the app.

Please change your app so that it does not ALWAYS track my location. You dont need to do that. Thanks

This company is fingerprinting your phone, even after you delete the app. This means they watch you without your permission. They were busted by Apple (see NY times article). Between this and being beyond awful as a business, why would you ride with them? Hello Lyft.

Its either all or nothing with Uber. Normal apps offer "track only when using". Uber demands "Always track". I dont want that. I have been using their friendly competitor, and its worked like a charm. Thanks for encouraging me to check out other apps!

All the drivers I talk to prefer other services, and many are convinced uber is stiffing them on fares. Given the recent news about the companys culture, that doesnt seem so implausible.

Wish I could give zero stars. I dont like being tracked by an app 24 hours a day, whether or not Im using the app. Blatant violation of Apple Terms-of-Service, but guess what ... the folks at über dont really care.

They took away the option to location only when using the app. They created a fancy and spinning map, but now the location is no longer accurate and many times drives just cant find you. This app is now heavy and slow. I would like to have back: - the ability to enable location only when Im using the app. - the simple from - to without any visual effects, just practical like in the beginning

Totally unnecessary and very creepy to _always_ track our location. They took away the option to use it while the app is running only. Turned that off. This pushed me to try Lyft, which is now my first choice. No different from Uber, except they somehow dont need to always track me. Ubers privacy policy basically states that they can use the data that they collect however they want and sell it to whomever they want. Buyer beware. Update: havent used or opened the app since this update. Just got an email saying that I have it turned off and please turn it on. That is creepy as hell. I trust them 0% to know how to use private data.

None one complaining about privacy here has an important enough life to track

Just in case you didnt know, uber was able to hack in the iPhone bypass security even after you deleted it ,and god know what they do about all my data. Good luck to me. I just uninstalled this dough.

Under try to track your location when youre not using the app, do not download it.

Uber is the best app. You can go anywhere with uber. All of the uber drivers are very nice too they will want for you, also they will take you through a drive though!!!

More bad press! DO NOT DOWNLOAD app. Uber has a serious ethics issue...should not be operating as a company...use a traditional taxi! In my view, Apple, Inc. has a social responsibility to protect its Apple Store customers from unethical companies like Uber. Apple, Inc. must instruct current and past Uber users of the best way to cleanly delete this app from their iPhone without Uber being able to track the phone once the app is removed.

Delete, reset your phone and download lyft

Over recent discoveries and their behavior they are losing my business for ever and I will not be coming back.

24/7 trucking of users is unacceptable. That plus its been caught taking more personal information than allowed by Apple and horrible corporate culture in regards to women. These are only two things that have been caught doing.

DO NOT DOWNLOD THIS APP. IT WILL TRACK YIUR EVERY MOVE

Horrible driver screening processes, abusive company culture, data privacy violations, terrible customer support, bad data security. Why bother? Other ride sharing apps wont screw you over like this.
