Impossible contact driver!!!

I wonder why app way to contact driver is not default. In my city, Belo Horizonte, is impossible to complete a call to the driver. Why São Paulo has text option and other cities no?

Ride Pass Ripoff

Absolutely unbelievable how a company will market a so called "ride pass" that doesnt even work properly with no customer support whatsoever. My sister and I both purchased the uber ride pass for our area hoping to save money and believed the pass was worth $10, unfortunately the pass does not work anywhere. After promising to deliver on flat fares Uber just took our money like thieves, there is no map designed to show the range of the ride pass nor does any location near or far apply the flat fares. Im never using this service again after I get my refund.

Use Location only when using the App

Uber is great with ONE EXCEPTION. Please dont force to always use location services. What is wrong with your company? Give people what is available.

Incredibly dissatisfied with shady business tactics and horrible customer service. We used Uber recently thinking our ride would cost us roughly $22. We had a group of 6 of us and planned to get two divers. When the driver arrived we noticed his car would be able to seat us all in one trip. I asked the driver if that was ok and all he said was yes, no mention of it going to cost us any more. We cancelled the other driver and by the end of the ride the others had chipped in their portion of the ride (total of $22.56) Long after the driver had left and our evening had ended, I received an email from Uber that charged me an additional $25.56 with no explanation. It was too late for me to let the others who rode with me know that the price had changed. So Im stuck with the random $25.56 fee for the three extra people. After going back and forth with customer service they said they adjusted the price because there were more than 4 people in the car. Had the driver made that known to us at the time, we would have all agreed and paid our portion accordingly. However, because there was no mention of an increased fare and I received their email much too late, I am out an extra $25. Again, had it been made known to us before even getting in the car, this would not have been an issue, as I have expressed several times to Uber. Any business that feels it can just dip into your account and take your money without your knowledge after you have already completed your transaction is no business I ever care to deal with ever again. They have refused to reimburse me for their mistake and their shady business tactics. I am yet another Uber customer who will never use them again. Drivers Ive had have been great but as a business, they are shady, distrustful and have terrible customer support. I should mention that the rate adjustment email came long after I was able to rate my driver. Prior to the hidden rate change I rated him 5 stars. Id now change his rating to a 1 as he should have made it known in the first place that he was charging us extra. Very disappointed and disgusted with Uber. Ill be using Lyft from now on and telling everyone I know to do the same.

The Uber Scam

This app is a scam! I resorted to using uber since lyft had its prime time rate and I was in no rush too get to work so I figured I would download the uber app and it resulted in a colossal mistake! The app was set to uber pool which was fine since I figured I had time to spare and work wasnt that far, boy was I wrong. The driver was 5 mins away, at first, they didnt move from there spot for 4 mins then the app told me that they where picking up another passenger and it would be 6 mins before my pick. Keep in mind I wasnt in a rush so I waited the 6 mins, but when I looked back on the app the car hadnt moved since the first time it was said to pick me up and the app still said it was 6 mins away and my route time started to get worse since traffic started to pick up! I canceled and was charged two dollars for nothing!!! My time was the one wasted, it seemed like that was there form of getting money, and they make u pay for nothing! Do not get this app!!

Nicknames

Please allow nicknames for payment accounts. I have one for work and one for personal. Easier to choose the correct account from a nickname than account number.

Pervy uncle location tracking / predatory

Consider the other guys! Gee, maybe you should not have my GPS records since then you would know where my doctors office is, then you could seek out my medical records. lol uber is a joke these days. Poor service that has gotten ruder and ruder. Poor user interface. Poor ethics. Problematic location tracking!! And drains the battery. Apple, is this really the type of app you want in the store?? Criminal behavior. Apple - remove from "essentials". Stories about Apple CEO lecturing Uber do not impress, take action! Not a consumer friendly company. Will my location data get hacked when Uber gets hacked? Why do you need my location when not using the app??? PRIVACY CONCERN!! And app quality getting worse not better. Go with the other guys. Apple- this app should be removed from "essentials" as nobody needs a battery draining 24/7 location tracker to hail a ride sharing service. This is not essential to anyone... Uber, the update you tried to sneak past us right before thanksgiving changes the location services to being able to track me even when not using the app. That is unacceptable. Just deleted the app and will NOT be using Uber anymore. #badpolicy #shameful Really a step backwards for Uber.

Whats wrong with the app

I wont let me request an Uber it say error every time. There customer support is no help its been months is Anyone going to help me fix it ??

Gett or Juno are better

As with any organization that grows too fast, Uber has had a serious decline in good service. Unprofessional drivers are not concerned about consequences and riders are powerless. I asked a driver not to play music so I could have a conversation with the people I was riding with and the driver ignored me 4 times then had an attitude for remainder of the ride. Its nearly impossible to get in touch with someone. All riders can do is send a message. What about during a ride when a driver started driving erratically. All o could do was call my mom. He was angry bc I asked him not to use the phone while driving. I will not recommend uber to anyone and Im going to have to stop using their service. Alternatives: Gett, Juno, Via

This app is what smartphones were made for. 5 stars - never had an issue...Some of these other reviewers must not be using it right...

Tired of bait and switch

After countless times of having the price suddenly surge when selecting my payment method Ive had enough. The quality of this app has consistently fallen over the past year.

Horrible. Going down the tubes

Sneaky pricing with constant surprise fees. Drivers have become disrespectful, aggressive, and with dirty cars.

No longer using Uber

Multiple times I have had a ride cancelled and still be billed. Which is a hassle in itself. However, it wont allow me to rate those who cancelled and took my money. This app was at first interesting and fun. I have met some interesting drivers, but those who abuse it or dont follow through ruined it. The fact that multiple times I have had to call my bank and tell them what happened is ridiculous and the fact that there is drivers using it who will be so rude, unprofessional, and still have the audacity to call me and lie has finally made me give this app up.

Unusable and login UI is super confusing

I rarely rate any app but I had to give Uber app a 1-star. I suddenly cannot use the app to request rides and the app asked me to update my phone number--but I always had my number in my profile! When I try to update my phone number it said that my number has been used--what?! I tried to log out but cannot log in and the app threw me several meaningless error messages that looked like those for app developers. Eventually I still cannot use the app and it asked me to fill in a form to add my phone number back. How can I trust my personal data with Uber when you cannot even get this simple thing right? Sorry Uber, you just lost my business.

UBER, stop draining my battery

What happened to allowing location services only when this app is running? How is it a good thing to let UBER drain my phone battery by always having my location? Im switching to Lyft until UBER changes this. 12/30/16 Theyre still doing it. Ill keep checking and updating my review. 2/11/17 Uber is still a stalker. 3/2/17 Uber is still a battery sucking stalker. 3/10/17 Another update, still no change. Updating this review is starting to become an outlet for my disappointment. 3/29/17 Yup. UBER still done nothing to fix this. 4/6/17 UBER is still a 1 star battery sucking stalker app. Im sticking with LYFT 4/14/17 Another wasted UBER update, they still want my battery life. 5/1/17 Another update, no change. Funny thing... LYFT has majority 5 star rating... hmmm 5/16/17 Several updates later, no change, still happy using LYFT. I gunna give it a few months before I check again.

Useless unless youre willing to let Uber spy on you

The app is mostly crippled unless you enable full-time location access (vs. just when using the app). Give Ubers history of a total lack of concern for riders privacy, thats a permission in not willing to give the app. Hey Uber, if youre intention isnt to spy on your riders, how about adding the option to use Location services only while using the app? (Im not holding my breath on that one.) The app works, but it is over-simplified. Ive ended up booking a trip when I was just trying to see how soon a driver could pick me up and what it would cost. Not a very intuitive UI. And it _forces_ you to leave a review for your last trip before you can do anything else with the app .. unless you want to uninstall and reinstall the app after every trip, as Uber support suggested to me <roll eyes>.

$50 for 2 miles?!?!

Youre gonna charge $50 to go 2 miles for uberpool??? Uber itself was $70!!!!!! Go f*** yourself you sketchy, terrible business

Terrible, cant activate

Horrible app, cant even activate! Tried 3 times with code sent via text, DOES NOT WORK!
