Uber verify doesnt work with my CC. Useless app

Location always on, kills the battery. File size is huge. I already tried 2 different debit card from two different banks and also tried PayPal and still wouldnt accept payment. Never using Uber again....

The app often has poor navigation directions to rider pickups and extremely poor navigation to drop off points sometimes causing riders to complain and assign poor driver ratings based on the very strange directions given to the driver. Need option to take MAJOR streets (versus small narrow streets or alleys) and also need to provide for expedited delivery via MAJOR freeways. The Uber navigation engineers need to come to LA to experience what the drivers are being asked to do via the nav portion of the app.

Uber is terrible, they delete the bad reviews once a week. Check your review in about a week, only you will be able to see your review no one else. I find Ubers business practices to be sneaky and despicable. Im not going to recommend this app from Uber. The Uber app pulls the resale value out of your car to Pay YOU. Uber needs to compensate and pay the drives real money, so they can fix and maintain there cars. Uber doesnt pay much to the drivers at all (Uber keeps about 60% of what the rider pay UBER). Once you consider your fuel cost, extremely high cost of ride-share car insurance, car maintenance and the terrible wear and tear on the car itself plus significant lose of value of your car at resale, especially because of the super high miles on your vehicle. The Uber app is a very bad deal for the drive. However the riders are getting a great deal on your dime and time. Sorry for the bad new.

I work in general aviation and when customers need a uber they cant get one as app automatically changes pick up to terminal. Uber has lost 100s of rides just at my location. I can imagine nation wide this is a problem. Uber not everyone rides in commercial aircraft. There are thousands of people that own there own aircraft and want to use uber service.

Dont like the update that they always want to know my location!! Surge pricing is also hidden. Was a frequent user but trying something else now.

(This was written last year) After the update, it is not working. Im hardcore uber app fan. I used to use it more than 10 times a week. I would skip the yellow cab and just ride uber cause it is less hassle. But after the update, it isnt working.. I am not sure if I said no to Location Service on "always." I have no intent on switching it on to "always" as it will drain my battery (Im using a two year old Iphone 6 plus). I just downloaded lyft and I guess this will do until they fix it or lets see how lyft is like :) (This is an updated review today 2017) They banned me from Uber for a reason they cannot tell me. I have asked specifically what terms I have violated and all they could say is quote "its not possible to unban your account because mutiple related accounts(which means other peoples account) were detected on it" I am literally speechless as all they do is run a program and if if doesnt fit they ban you and have no intention of going through personally. I was a loyal customer and they are not even bothered to look further if they could fix it individually.

The app worked perfectly before with "when using the app only" location setting, removing that option is user hostile and actively makes the app worse since "never" is an inferior experience that makes Uber hard to use. Oh well, thats just more money for Lyft

Hey guys! I FLIPPIN LOVE UBER! We have been using it constantly domestically and internationally for years! However being pregnant with twins and knowing that second and even third hand smoke is extremely dangerous to unborn children and babies, Im shocked that smoke free options are not allowed to be requested. HELP! Please fix this!!!

So frustrating!!!! In NYC trying to use app, for 3 credit cards it says credit card doesnt work... I added 2 more cards and for all it says contact Uber support... but there is no Uber customer care support!?!?!?

Just so people know 4 year driver 4.96 rating. Do not use this app Uber openly steals from drivers, teaches a cancellation technique and as of 4/21/17 changed drivers contracts in a way to legalize this stealing to some degree. So keep in mind your drivers even with so called surge pricing average less then min wage if Uber pays out at all to its driver. If you doubt this just type in Uber lawsuits and look at the multitude of drivers that they have done this to.

Uber has been a pain in my a** since I got it (I just deleted it actually). Starting with the fact that it demands that it always knows my location, it was a b***h. Then on my first ride, it decided to charge both me and my friend who didnt even schedule the uber extra for riding in the same ride (I dont even know how it charged her since she didnt schedule the uber). Now it wont let me schedule a ride because apparently I have an "unpaid fare" even though it charged me and my friend extra last time. What a sh***y app

My account got deactivated. I contacted to reactivate the service and did everything they asked for. 3 times. Zero response and zero service.

Why "always" allow muy location?

Id give this company minus 5 if there was an option, they always track your location whenever your phone is on, eat loads of data and their customer service is terrible. In addition they steal few dollars per ride by charging rider a dollar or more than what they tell driver what the charge was.

Uber used to be trustworthy when the driver called to try to meet up. Multiple times, drivers dont even come to my exact location then just cancel the trip after 2 minutes to get their $5. I have complained each time. Only once I got a $5 credit to my account but $5 to my account is worthless if I never went to to take Uber again. Refund it to my credit card where it was taken from. Another time the driver parked on the other side of the street in a parking lot and I had to cross but by the time I finally found the car and crossed the road the 2 minutes were up then charged me $5 then asked me to request him again. Whats wrong with people?? UBER HAS TURNED INTO A SCAM!!! Lyft is 100% better and have the sweetest people who text then call you to meet up. They are actually committed to their jobs. LYFT IS AMAZING AND SO HUMBLE!! I couldnt ask for a better riding app.

Ive had Uber for a while. Today truly disappointed me with the wait time and inaccuracy.

Driver canceled on me after I waited 10 mins for him to arrive.

The first time the app messed up my trip itinerary. I confirmed it twice and it showed the correct information. The driver given wrong info by app and went to drop off location to pick up. This last time My dad who has Alzheimers was picked up so they can pick my dads caregiver. I spoke to the driver and asked once he picks up caregiver to drop off at another location since app does not offer muti-destinations on app. The driver didnt pick up the caregiver & dropped off my dad to the location unattended. I dont know how he could have confused that when I spoke to him on the phone. They need better emergency numbers for this type of situation. I could not get ahold of the driver after that. Theres not even emergency numbers on app. This was very disappointing and scary. As Im writing this I still have heard from uber today & happened this a.m. 5/26/17. Need better emergency protocols!! Especially when trip is completed & no longer have access to driver #.
