Worst customer service

Ive been an Uber user since early last year, 4.7 rating, usually little to no issues with the drivers. However, for those moments when you get a bad driver or incorrectly charged a cancellation fee, dont expect Uber to give you any kind of customer support. They use prebuilt email responses to tell you why its your fault and why you wont get a refund. When you ask them to research the matter they send another robot response to say theyre sorry "we wont see eye to eye". I deactivated my account as of today and will never use them ever again. There are way too many other options to be stuck on such a miserable service. Avoid them.

Audible notification has disappeared

Audible notifications have disappeared, unless the Uber driver app is front and center. If it is in the background I get a visual pop up but no audio. Very unhappy with this development. Please fix!

Horrible

Uber are thieves!!! They show you one price and they charge you more. I several times had the incident where they charged me for my ride then the go in doing a second transaction and charge an extra $40. Beware

Unreliable Uber App

Would give Uber negative ratings... it does not deserve any stars .....tried to login but it keeps throwing "unknown error" ... after multiple failed attempts placed a ride with LYFT

Keeps logging me out

Im trying to just use the app for the first time, and when Im entering location, it keeps logging me out and sending me to the login screen. Just over and over. Non functional app.

Prices

Why are the prices really high suddenly? If the prices are that high, Id rather pick a cab. Whats wrong with you guys? You are my favorite app. Dont mess it up.

Why own a car?

For as little that I drive, UBER is a great resource for having to go anywhere! A heck of a lot less than a car payment and insurance, and ALWAYS on time, and incredibly reasonable cost! Kudos to the person who developed this alternative means of transportation!

Uber suddenly doesnt like voip numbers nor foreign SIM card cell numbers

Ive had uber for awhile. On my last trip, right when you press to order up an uber ride, the app gives some crap message about my phone number being not supported. It then says update it in your profile, which it wont let me do. So I have another cell on me. Lucky me, Ill just sign up another account using my foreign sim. It is a data sim, but provides voip voice and a text app. Signup goes smoothly. I get the verification Tex, type in the code, then good to go. BZzzztttt!!! Same old crap, unsupported number. So, two things come to mind: - relax in the supported number crap. you got my credit card, CVV code, and home address already. That is good enough try to order $5,000 worth of computer stuff without a "supported phone number" problem conjured up by uber app. - reject the number right off the bat. Making a potential customer go through all that only to find out at the very very end crap about the phone number is adding insult to injury So I used a different provider. Had to. Uber forced me to not use them. Nice job.

No notification of driver cancellation

This happens to me all of the time when using this app! I think Im waiting on a ride, 10 minutes go by and no sign of the car so I go back to the app and the driver canceled! Its so irritating to be waiting for something not knowing its not coming. This happened 2 times in a row just now. And theres no support for issues like these. Its so difficult to find a place to leave a review so Im doing it on here. Ive tried other means of reporting this to no avail. Id rather pay the extra $2 for Lyft.

App jacked!!!

I looked up a cost for a ride and the I cancelled out and it auto charged me. The first time it happened I thought it was something I did. The app had my location wrong and the driver cancelled me for no show. The last time I know without a doubt I cancelled the route 2 seconds after but the driver showed up I got a $5 charge and 2 pending transactions stuck on my credit card for 36.00. No more Uber for me!

Left me stranded

I was able to get a ride to a special event without a problem. However, uber was totally unavailable to pick me up from this destination which meant I was completely stranded. This was infuriating since uber was advertised as the best way to get a ride to and from this event. Thank goodness other taxi services were available, otherwise I would have had to walk home.

Cash uber

It would be better if you can pay in cash so you wouldnt have to worry about adding your credit card and all.

In times of need this didnt perform

Service-wise Uber is great in my opinion. However, for whatever reason there had been a technical glitch that prevented me from accessing my account and for whatever reason did not recognize my email address. Instead, there was a different email address on my account and since theres no way to change my password information solely with the use of my phone number (being that phone numbers are the essential component of an Uber account) my entire plans for tonight are ruined. This technical circumstance is dreadful and I dont prefer to use Uber after this experience.

It gets worse after every update!

Now I cannot get an Uber from my work place because the new update does not allow me to use the correct address. Uber made a decision that I should walk 100m and wait in the street. In case of rain, my problem! Using more and more the other alternatives in the market.

Pervy uncle location tracking makes me angry.

Poor service that has gotten ruder and ruder. Poor user interface. Poor ethics. Problematic location tracking!! And drains the battery. Apple, is this really the type of app you want in the store?? Criminal behavior. Apple - remove from "essentials". Stories about Apple CEO lecturing Uber do not impress, take action! Not a consumer friendly company. Will my location data get hacked when Uber gets hacked? Why do you need my location when not using the app??? PRIVACY CONCERN!! And app quality getting worse not better. Go with the other guys. Apple- this app should be removed from "essentials" as nobody needs a battery draining 24/7 location tracker to hail a ride sharing service. This is not essential to anyone... Uber, the update you tried to sneak past us right before thanksgiving changes the location services to being able to track me even when not using the app. That is unacceptable. Just deleted the app and will NOT be using Uber anymore. #badpolicy #shameful Really a step backwards for Uber.

1st review Ive done on iTunes

This is the first time Ive ever written a review but being that the app has become so bad I had to. Uber worked fine for a year but recently its glitches, canceled rides, and "request failure" have gotten out of hand with their email only customer service doing a poor job of fixing problems and providing no refunds. I just switched to Lyft this week and havent gotten the issues so far. Uber lost a customer
