With all the other reviews, no Uber, I dont like that youre trying to track me when Im not using the app. Also, what happened to displaying the estimated time of arrival before purchase? How am I to evaluate if its even worth using the service if I dont know when Im going to arrive. I get that you want me to use your service but taking away more info regarding my trip before I purchase isnt helping your case.

First of all, if you haven’t taken a ride yet make sure you use the coupon above to get $20 off your first ride!! Enter it right before you request a ride. Go to the Payment tab in the app and enter the coupon under promotions. Might as well try it out since it wont cost you a thing! The app is simple, easy to use and intuitive by design, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make and model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy!!! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!

One of their drivers hacked a friends account charged multiple rides to them self, gave them self ridiculous tips and then claimed vehicle damage for $500 all in 30minutes. There is no human assessing these claims and Uber charges passenger immediately. There is no human to speak to at Uber. They ask you to use an online form. We filled it out in detail and they reply with a poorly non-native English speaking scripted copy and paste reply acknowledging- that detailed email you wrote explaining everything. Yeah, no one at Uber didnt read it. Quite the nightmare dealing with Uber right now. They dont give a single care about you their customer. After using their service for years they have lost me as a customer forever after witnessing this awful demonstration of "customer support" (see: no support for customer. Just our drivers that bring us cash- even if they are fraudulently bringing the cash).

There is no justification for tracking users every move at all times. Any statement the company puts forward in that regard is pure equestrian fecal matter.

When your at the airport in a new state, and am have issues requesting a ride its ANNOYING!! Bank information is correct and updated, no outstanding payments, unfortunately uber doesnt have a hotline for customer service unless its a "critical" concern! Just spent 45 minutes going through the help menu questions, and nothing worked. So I just decided to download lyft, and had a car waiting in less than 3 minutes. Ive also had drivers that were so old, they drove down the wrong side of the street and ran red lights! Do better.

For the basic feature of putting an address and arriving where you need to go its a great app super convenient never much wait time... but for having grown so much over the years the quality of their app has dramatically reduced. I can no longer rate drivers or leave a tip and there is no option of going back and changing the review or seeing the review I gave my driver. This is very disappointing because some drivers deserve a flat out one star and I cant notify uber they got a bunch of weirdos driving people around thank you for your time

Could we please go back and remove the most stupid feature introduced in the recent update: tips. We dont need tips this si condecending and the prices should reflect the service. Please remove this absurd feature, or at the minimum make it fully hidden so I will never see it and will never be reminded it exist. This was one of my main reason for not using lift. Please correct this ASAP

The creepy app tracks you all the time even after your trip had completed. It is a pain to enable/disable tracking before/after each use. I have been using Lyft exclusively.

Please stop with this nonsense. Tracking my location even when Im not using the app like really? This is an invasion of privacy! This should be banned from the App Store.

This app and company are shady. Stay away. The drivers also are very unsafe at driving because the company provides no training to them. I have never felt more unsafe in an uber car in my life.

When you search the airport of your city, check the route carefully because possibly the destination is set to the middle of a runway and the route is several miles longer than it should be. As a result, youre paying $4~$6 extra for the distance you wont travel. I reported to Uber several month ago and never heard back. And, do they think people are used to the "Always on" location tracking? No reason for me to allow them to track my location 5 minutes after drop off, and no reason to trust them only doing what the claimed to do. And, people like me still havent forgotten that Uber requested hundreds of Lyft cars then cancelled them and did so again and again. What a mean company. Not that Im still using this app. In fact, I have not used it ever since I found the overcharging trap. Not to mention the location tracking. Im just keeping this app installed so that I can get back and leave a 1-star review whenever it is updated.

Uber app tracks you location even if you are not using it. Dont step in consumers toes. Now I cant wait for iOS 11 where we can finally put this shady practice to bed, for this and other apps. In the meanwhile Ill use lyft

The Uber app gives you the option to have location tracking either always or never. They claim its to enhance the user experience by monitoring you for 5 minutes after a ride. Not only is that creepy, if you give Uber location permission, its all the time, it doesnt have to shut off after 5 minutes. Uber makes the app almost unusable if you select the option for never. Every time you open the app there is a nag screen asking you to enable location services. This pop up blocks you from being able to rate your drivers after a ride or from being able to accept ride split requests from others. Even if you have location services enabled, the map will place you in a completely different location and then they charge you when youre picked up at your real location rather than at the erroneous location they selected in their app. Drivers will cancel on you if they dont like your drop off location or drive away from you to force you to cancel. When this happens you get charged. Customer support, or rather lack of support, will reply with cookie cutter responses that dont address any real problems or concerns and they refuse to give refunds, only credits, even if you shouldnt have been charged in the first place. What good is a credit if I dont want to use Uber again. On top of all of this, there are multiple allegations of harassment internally at Uber, and allegations of assault by drivers. You would be wise to avoid using Uber!

The app has an option to access your location with the choice of "never" or "always". Theres no option for "only when using". Thats creepy and messed up. Uber shouldnt get to have access to my location whenever they want.

I will not be using this app anymore. Because I declined letting the app keep tracking my location even while I am not using the app, it is now next to useless. Good thing I still have Lyft installed, because with Uber there is not an option in the privacy tab in the phones Settings app for setting the tracking of location "Only While Using", like there is for other apps (Including Lyft).

My home address on Uber app send the driver to the opposite site of my street. The quality of Uber Drivers is going worse and worse, they are contracting anyone, people who dont even speak English properly and worse, dont have any experience with GPS or find addresses and some of them are very rude also.
