I want to give drivers perspective. Uber is very cruel to drivers by manipulating their rating and simply just not paying them for trips . You probably know how bad GPS and pickups are , as there is always an issue .... Since May 21st Uber only has to pay Driver $X per mile and minute. Once Uber pays the driver the amount , they get the remainder of how much YOU the customer are willing to pay. Everyone is getting ripped off !!! So if customers agree to pay $30 due to surge , for a ride for 10 minutes, theyll pay driver $10-$12 and pocket the extra with some made up "service fee" on top Of a "booking fee " when its MY CAR thats doing the service !!!!!! Even if Driver gets you there faster , doesnt matter they keep it. If you dont tip , it is very hard to maintain above minimum wage . We have bills and families to feed too . If you get good service tip , if Driver doesnt deserve it , so be it . This is a service industry. This is why you may get an ANGRY driver . Its not the customer , its the company. I use uber for business travel all the time. However when you send me your receipts to my email it only contains the trip without the tip.

Very bad business practices. The driver decides to cancel before picking me up. The app gives me a message of apologies & suggest I rebook. Yet, Uber charged me $5 !!! Very unethical.
I had to be at work 15 minutes before my scheduled time , so my job is around 15-20 away . I decided to order it 30 minutes earlier , it said my uber was 5 minutes away , so I waited and waited and waited and my uber NEVER came , I was late to work and had to find another way. And not only that they charged me for the ride which I DIDNT even use. When I asked for my money back , they said they could only give me credit . I wouldnt not recommend it , Ive used lyft before and never had a problem.
Horrible company with horrible practices and spotty service. How is it they are still in business? Uber is the rideshare equivalent of a cigarette company.
We had a good run Uber. But now you have become a stalker. Goodbye Uber, Hello Lyft. FYI - the Uber drivers find it creepy too. They also switch to using Lyft.
If they dont like your review they delete it and they only pay there drivers about $3 an hour, so give a big tip if your using this app. Thank you.
Tells you one price then when you get there the price triples for no reason at all talked to support and all you get is a haha we cant help you and a bunch of we are sorry but no refund for the over charge going to lyft see you stupid uber
Nice new features, location always ON and we dont have the choice for "only when I use the app" option.
The driver I had tried canceling another member of Uber pool mid-ride and clicked my name instead. He ended up trying to kick me out of the car because he couldnt reverse it. Complete incompetence followed by no apology.
So try Lyft.
I am ver disappointed in the hike of the fair. You are charging way to much to a 7 minute ride! $15.90 is way to high. Your losing customers due to your greedy need!

Lately, Ubers navigation system has been really inefficient. For UberPool, itll direct the driver to go and pick up another passenger back the way you came. It will send the driver around in a circle for no reason sometimes, too. Please fix this.
Nope. You still dont need my location once I end my ride. Fail. You want your stars back? Gives us back the option of "While Using" One reason I started using Uber because of the "no tipping". Since that was built into the rate, and now we have to tip, why havent you reduced your rates to reflect the change? Oh, thats right, your a shady company that has no respect for your employees or customers. Id rather walk than give you another dime. The only reason I keep the app around is to continue with the 1 star ratings.
UPDATE 2: As others have pointed out, Uber is likely pushing new updates just to clear out the bad reviews. Theyre hoping people will lose interest after a while and they can get away with their deceptive privacy practices unchecked. UPDATE: It looks like Uber was forced to remove the obvious lie from their app description, but with this version of the app they still can monitor your location at all times--not just when youve used Uber recently. And what about all the people who allowed the app to monitor their location because they believed the lie? The latest "feature" described in this update shows Uber never intended to keep that promise even for a second. Shame on them. Original review: Im an iOS developer and the description about how theyll use your location information is simply not true. With this configuration not only can they monitor your location for up to 5 minutes after you use the app, but also for up to 5 minutes *practically any time they want*, whether youve used the app or not. Additionally, apps that monitor your location all the time are one of the bigger causes of battery drain, even on newer devices. To the developers: Just be honest--youre yet another company who wants to snoop in on where people go and make a few extra bucks selling that information to the highest bidder. Many people will use the app anyway. The really irritating thing is that you easily could have left the original option (to get location info only while the app is being used) so that tech savvy people could change it in Settings. Instead you chose to explicitly remove that option and try to force people to accept something that benefits you at the expense of their batteries. Deleted. If you want my business youll have to bring the option back. Aside from Lyft, there are still plenty of cabs in D.C. and thanks to the competition the cabs are much better than they used to be.
