Turn it off then *rolls eyes* This isnt rocket science ! Uber - Keep up the good work and ignore these hippies! Thanks for hiring uber drivers and keeping drunks off the road !
Uber continues its downward spiral and has lost my trust (and that of countless users). The perpetual location tracking in the recent versions is totally unacceptable. They have *removed* the option to use iOSs native privacy controls to allow location tracking only while using the app. Lyft respects users privacy, unlike Uber. Also, Im no longer able to rate drivers, since after turning off location tracking theres a nag screen every time one opens or returns to the app, and that nag screen blocks the page where typically one would rate the driver right after a trip (dismissing the nag screen also dismissed the rating screen, which is a major design flaw). Uber has officially sunk from good to bad to terrible. Pass.

Go to the Payment tab in the app and enter the coupon under promotions. Might as well try it out since it wont cost you a thing! The app is simple, easy to use and intuitive by design, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make and model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy!!! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!!!

After being a loyal customer to Uber, I will now use LYFT for my meds and DoorDash, instead of Uber Eats There drivers are incompetent and today I was charged a cancellation fee because they said the driver waiting 5 minutes for me! An absolute LIE! This lady couldnt find her front from her back! She even called and said she was there and I could see on the map, she was 2 minutes away!!!! The drivers have gone down in quality, the service has gone down in quality and their GPS is an absolute JOKE! Use LYFT! They still care about their clients! Uber is just the taxi company again!
Not sure I can continue with this app and Uber with the location only Always or Never. Plus, I notice they have 2 canned responses for people who give bad reviews (but generally fair criticisms IMO). Both canned responses are unhelpful and patronizing -- its foreboding for any future customer service needs. Hmm
Tried to update my ride with who they were picking up but the new update made it so I couldnt contact the driver straight away. Tried their new system and nothing. Thanks Uber :/

Of all of the ride-sharing/cab apps out there on the market, Uber is by far the worst I have ever experienced. Not because there is anything wrong with the app, but because time and time again the company made it clear that they dont care about their customers at all. They have no integrity, no ethics, and no morals. Ive had countless awful experiences with their drivers, and for the sake of community I usually write in feedback, to no avail. As far as Uber is concerned, refunding you $10 or less dollars is more important than the principle that their customers be treated with courtesy and respect by drivers and their "help" center alike. Ive never encountered such rude, disrespectful, and dismissive "support" in my life. Ill never return to Uber, and Ive been telling literally everyone I know in the NYS court system, my college communities, and my friend groups to do the same. After sharing my accounts, the only people who havent deleted are those living in areas where Juno, Via, Gett, or Halo arent available yet.
1. As stated in many other reviews it would be nice to have location services only while using the app. 2. I would like to be able to see what I, as a rider, can do to improve ratings. When you rate a driver below 5 stars the app prompts you to say what they can improve—this should be something that drivers have to do for passengers (if they choose to rate them below a 5). Otherwise, there is no way to be a better rider.

You should download this especially if youre in the city and want a quick and fairly inexpensive way around. Very easy to use and wide popularity.
Update: August 9 2017 Developers asked me to contact them and I have and they didnt resolve the issue just said tipping isnt mandatory, I know that but it gets annoying when drivers are constantly talking about tipping. They want a tip they better feed me while on my 20-30 minute car ride Ill be glad to tip them. ?? I use Uber 5 days out the week everyday Im charged $15, Im complaining about the drivers who expect me to tip them all the time when Im already paying over $60 a week for transportation. Sorry but if I do those little $5 rides I would tip but my rides cost more than $5.
Turkey ??, the country with the stupidest Uber drivers in the whole world. Its like uber got the stupidest 200 drivers, and flew em all to Turkey. They are not just stupid, they r so stupid that Im afraid one of em will just forget to breath and will pass out and crash the car while Im in it. Im willing to bet that not one drive has an IQ over 40 ..

One of their drivers hacked a friends account charged multiple rides to them self, gave them self ridiculous tips and then claimed vehicle damage for $500 all in 30minutes. There is no human assessing these claims and Uber charges passenger immediately. There is no human to speak to at Uber. They ask you to use an online form. We filled it out in detail and they reply with a poorly non-native English speaking scripted copy and paste reply acknowledging- that detailed email you wrote explaining everything. Yeah, well no one at Uber read it. Quite the nightmare dealing with Uber right now. They dont give a single care about you their customer. After using their service for years they have lost me as a customer forever after witnessing this awful demonstration of "customer support" (see: no support for customer. Just their drivers that bring them cash- even if they are fraudulently bringing the cash).
