Dont believe the location services is only on during the trip story, my battery no longer lasts a day with this thing on. Needs urgent fix!
I had a problem with uber with a fare. They refunded me and helped resolve my problem. Good app and customer service.

The one thing I really detest about Uner is that almost every week theres anew huge update. Its usually the largest update as far as data and sometimes its large enough that I have to be connected to wifi to get it. I dont think that is user friendly. Just my opinion.
I have been with Uber for just about over a year. Ive enjoyed every moment being a Uber rider and have always supported the drives I come in contact with as I know this job it not easy. Ive spoken with many drivers and listed to there reason for being a Uber driver and all the perks they receive for being on that trip (because of you). Heres why you should think twice before being a Uber Rider. 1. Dont use pre paid debit cards. Its sad enough that those (such as myself) have to use these types of plastic payment solutions based on current times/techniques. Although Ive been using my "prepaid" debit card with Uber since the start, there is a high unreasonable judgement of those who use these types of cards. Although fraud can happen to anything nowadays (if that was my case), just be mindful that youre in that bucket when it comes to Uber Technologies, Inc. Uber decided to make a change to my account without prior communication that this would happen. I am being told over and over "add a new card". My first encounter with this was literally 5 months into my account that they would shut off my card for ordering any rides. Again, I was never told of this update happening or why my payment option is no longer being accepted all of a sudden. When I asked what happen the first time, a representative fixed the problem and I was well on my way. All I was told that there was a update made and my issue as been solved. Here I am 6 months and several app updates later, this "unknown" update was made again and now no one can provide answers or solutions to fix this. I would consider myself a very low risk Uber app user. I have always paid my riders and have even successfully giving tips through the app with the new update, all using my "prepaid" debit card without any issues. 2. When Submitting a help question through the Uber app, expect to have several responses all from different people there should you have to require follow ups. If you know what its like to just be passed around over and over without anyone taking special interest, Uber is the perfect place. 3. Uber doesnt really care about the rider. Its all about the driver. Ive experienced many driver related issues that would make you think twice. Im disappointed in myself for not speaking up sooner. But Im here now to voice my "feedback" of Uber Technologies, Inc. 4. Just remember this, if you have a problem with a driver and/or the ride, do better than accepting Ubers methods of "brushing" things under the rug by giving you $2 off your next ride. If you really look at your worth, Uber is collecting and using your data to gain corporate value in our data driven society. These are still people, not robots (yet). They should also be held accountable for driver misuse just as Uber would hold you accountable for rider misconduct. Uber will always blame the rider (you) or give you a $2 credit should you voice the right way. 5. Dont be fooled by the Uber the "Ride Pass" feature. That feature has gone up $1 every time that release a pass in your area. Its shady and out right a joke how they are about the passes. High demand, rise the prices and pass more fees to the rider (you). Theres a lot to Uber under the surface that isnt displayed. And now, as a "ex-Uber Rider" I still support riders who chose to use Uber as a solution for transportation, and wish safe trips for all, Uber in my view is no longer a company I will support, net-promote, or rate and a service you should use. Uber stop updating the app with no changes to flush all the negative reviews. You removed the option to allow us to grant you location services for in-app only. I will NOT give you my location all the time. You dont need it! This is a massive privacy violation. Give us our options back!
Used to be good. Whole point was tip is included now they roll out ripping and the quality of the drivers has gone way down. Just trying to get somewhere alive seems to be what they are setting as the bar.
The title says it all. The list of problems is endless; unreliable and the absolute WORST navigation and tracking system I have ever seem. Uber always promises to fix these problems but lets be honest, theyre too busy scamming the drivers and overcharging customers.
Stop updating your app in an attempt to get rid of your crap rating. You do not need my location at all times. Lyft must be loving your poor decision making. I am sadly required to use Uber for work or I would entirely delete you from my life. ------------ I was a loyal uber rider til this update - 10+ rides per week every week, have used it in 6 countries. To start out with, I do not use apps that require access to my location when I am not using them. 1) why would I let you intrude on my privacy and 2) why would I let you drain my battery?!? Secondly the usability is terrible. Luckily it was just 2 clicks to get to my Lyft app. Even my "ride 10 get one free" deal from Capital One wont keep me using Uber. Hope you come to your senses soon.
You took away the option of sharing location only while using the app. Guess whats easier than having to go into my settings every time to re-enable location and disable location?? ...using Lyft from now on. Put location sharing back to the users choice. ADDITIONALLY, I consider this company to be a bunch of scumbags for releasing a new update every few days to wipe out the negative reviews. There are no real updates to the app. If there were it would be from listening to the rage of their users and giving back the option of location while only using the app. And Ill continue to give 1 star until they do! Update: Uber recently sent an email "noticing" that I disabled location for the App. Well no crap, thats what happens when you dont care about user privacy. Im sure they had to send out a lot of those emails to others. My location will remain disabled until they bring back the option for only when using the app, and my business continues to go to Lyft.
First of all, if you haven’t taken a ride yet make sure you use the coupon "UROHQ" to get $20 off your first ride!! Enter it right before you request a ride. Go to the Payment tab in the app and enter the coupon under promotions. Might as well try it out since it wont cost you a thing! The app is simple, easy to use and intuitive by design, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make and model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy!!! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!!!
I love the UBER app, I have been using this for a while, the only reason I dont give UBER a 5 stars is because I have stay in one location several times and when I request the service at least 3 times drivers has been drop off to pick me up due location cant be found on the UBER navigation system, and one has to use a different navigation system in order to pick me up on this specific location. The other thing is when Im at the airport some times get difficult to have respond from the app. Keep improving. ?? Gerardo Rangel.
I ordered a uber pool with my friend to go home a little bit before 1am after our night out. We went out for dinner and were both sober when we got on the car. We were chatting with each other in the back seat and when we arrived we got off and left. The driver then didnt end the trip, he has continued the time for another 15 mins and submitted fake photos that we vomited in and out of his car and said that we damaged his car. But we didnt, we left the car in perfect condition. Uber never investigated this cheating driver and went ahead and charged $150 on my account, I have since wrote over 20 emails to uber explaining the situation and has gotten the same non helpful responses. I went to fill a police report against this driver and also a report to the TLC for him committing customer fraud. I would like uber to this issue very seriously and give me justice in this case and refund me the full amount that should never be charged to my account along with compensation! Thank you! I have followed up and sent and email to uber support like I already did for the 30th time, and got the same prewritten generated response. Cannot believe uber hire drivers who would actually take incident to cheat the passengers money. Will be going to the TLC later for a hearing and fight for justice. This lying driver should never be allowed to take customers. And uber customer support is the least helpful and most unreasonable support I have ever received!
Fast, safe and convenient
The app works okay but the problem is that you have to support a company with very questionable ethics. After consistently hearing about how Uber treats its employees and customers I highly recommend you pick a different service. I am switching to Lyft.
Uber is the worst company to deal with. The customer service team is like speaking with robots and theyre based in the Philippines. Even when you e-mail them they do not resolve your issue. Awful all around! Update: uber responded to my inquiry telling me to e mail driver help. This is my major complaint! Ive been e mailing driver help for over two weeks now. This has to be a joke. No resolution at all!
I started taking taxi today because uber is the the same price as a taxi now plus you can tell a taxi driver where you want to go but a uber driver will always take you the longer way just to add an extra minute to ur schedule. I hate uber drivers that ignitiate a conversation and then say there from the city and they still go the wrong way. Uber really needs to talk to their drivers about that. Some drivers decide to to stay in route all the time and im always paying attention to that. And in the end i pay just as much as getting a taxi. So im just going to start using rAinbow cab and leave uber alone because drivers on uber dont know where they are going.
