A driver in LA pickpocketed my purse while I was sitting in the front passenger seat (as we filled the back row). I noticed immediately after exiting that my wallet was gone, along with my drivers license which I needed to board a flight. Uber informed me that they have no responsibility for the driver and its his word against mine. And they would not share his identity with the police. I have been fed up with Uber for the past 2 years. They have no customer help line and every time I email I get a copy/pasted response that doesnt address the issue at all. Going to Lyft. Update: uber continues to track users after theyve deleted the app. I dont understand why Apple didnt kick them off the App Store.

Uber still requires you to allow them to track you 24x7, even when youre not using the app. And if you read others reviews, its using those permissions to track you all the time.

Your ticket will be responded to by multiple people, and none of them will have the full context. After you get the run-around with no resolution, they just flat out ignore you forever.

Hard to say something, I think is ok

Much more reliable than Lyft, gets me from pt A to pt B without issue.

They still track you even after you uninstall the app.

They now charge people for using the app! I have numerous charges on my account for Uber technologies. As well, the driver canceling on pools with waiting there wait period. I want a refund on my charges and they do not even have a customer service number. The worst company ever, Im considering change taxi services.

Do your research and stop supporting evil companies.

I hate this app now. Ive had bad experience over bad experience. This time they decided to charge me without my knowledge. When I tried to resolve the issue I was told 3 different time frames of when I would get my money back! Seriously. Work on your customer service Uber. And stop charging your customers for every little thing.

10-15% battery life is gone in 3 mins while ordering. This is not acceptable ?

I am not a frequent uber user. I would use uber once every year maybe. Why uber wants to use my location always. It consumes battery for no reason.

I either always allow my location (so even in background) or I dont at all, why the hell would the app need my location in the background at all???

Its ridiculous, they charge me for the dumbest things, they charged me a $1 to verify my card and I tried 5 times because it would let me order an uber without verifying it, so they charged me $5 for it and I never even got a ride, and when I tried to send a complaint , it didnt even want to send through. I thought Ive given up on uber but around 20 days later I needed a ride home so I tried to order one and I had my card in the payment information, but they kept trying to use Apple Pay even though I was just trying to use my card since I dont have Apple Pay. And it didnt go through, since Ive been through this before I didnt try again , and when I got home I realized they charged me a dollar for it and I still didnt get a ride. I HATE UBER!!!!

Amazing drivers, easy to track as you wait. Always one close. If you dont use Uber, you are wasting time and money. Awesome business.

What a joke of a company. Disgusting business practices. Selling user data and tracking customers.

The ideas great, the company has questionable ethics, and this app wants permission to track you 24/7 (rather than just when youre using the app, like other, more reasonable apps)

Coming from someone who earned VIP and spent tens of thousands of dollars, no you cant track me in the background. Creepy company. Give Lift a try. not perfect, but not creepy.
