I had to go through New York flying from home for business. Home is in the country, I got to New York and the taxis prices really kicked me hard. At the hotel I down loaded Uber. The next morning, for me, it was like I had my own friend in the business for at least one ride. I gave my driver a tip and it was still less than half what the taxi cost the day before.

No matter if you inform a specific address for you to be picked up, the app "adjusts" for your location! It should honor what you inform!! I request the driver before actually arriving at the location so I can be there when the drover arrives!

Love all aspects of the app but we need a way to provide tips through the app.

The driver took two wrong freeway exits and canceled the trip while we were in her car because she felt terrible that her mistakes costed us so much time. She lets us know that the drive will be free. And of course, we were charged even more than agreed in the app prior to the drive. We reported this to support and they kept sending me standard responses of how a drive is calculated.... no wonder uber is going downhill.

Fast service and very convenient. Pricing could be better.

I have tried to open the app several times @ different airports or areas. It wont connect. I received an email stating I need to update my account. Your app wont let me or it wont open! I cant use the service

Uber app tracks you location even if you are not using it. Combining this with the todays report that uber tried to track your identity even after you deleted its app in 2015, I can clear see that this is a really shady company. Latest update still has all or nothing for location privacy setting. Really terrible.

After ons of 1 star reviews for tracking location all the time they still havent updated it. Maybe instead of 1 star review next time I will just delete the app I guess.

I recently I requested a ride from the airport to a friends house (LAX to Studio City). The driver immediately called me and asked where I was going I told him and he canceled the ride. The price then DOUBLED for the exact same ride when I requested a new driver. Apparently they dont see the destination until they pick you up, this ensures you get the nearest driver that accepts. So whatever you do, DONT TELL THE DRIVER WHERE YOURE GOING unless you want to get canceled on and pay more! From now on Im gonna play dumb and say Im just visiting and the address has been submitted through the app, see you soon.

And the Watch app is unreliable

You update every week and still have the location set as always on. Stop updating just to clear bad reviews and fix the problem!

Outside of the obvious ethical dilemma everyone should have using his app, their customer service is an absolute automated waste of time. I couldnt for the life of me get a real person to reply to any of my emails, just an automated reply for weeks. Top that with their poor pricing all other options out there are better at this point.

Please revoke this Driver. My gf was trying to get home at night in a dangerous area and couldnt walk home, thus uber. But driver completely was unprofessional and made her run after the car only for him to speed off and violent her. He was a complete incompetent and douche about it that he didnt just do it once but he did it 2 more times going in circles. The pinpoint wasnt on at a cross road and when my gf finally cancel he slowly reversed to only give the bird. Later she couldnt even rate him but he rated her a one star. They steal from you. I take Uber to work everyday. The prices I pay is normally $9.62. No more than $10.00. When you request a ride, you put in your pick up and drop of locations and the tell you the price. Lately they have been quoting me a price and then after the ride is completed they charge more than what you agreed to. Today, I took a ride and was quoted $9.82 that was the normal amount so I requested my ride. After checking today, the actually charged me 11.99. This is starting to happen often and for me, every dollar adds up. I reached out to them and they state oh thats within out estimate so no adjustment will be made. One of Ubers drivers even threaten to run us off the rode one day because he had cancer and had to drive for Uber. Its absurd that they would treat a customer the way they do. I was a faithful customer until now. Ubers okay until you have an issue and cant speak to anyone. You have to go through email and all the do is copy and paste their responses. Theres no true customer service.
