Used uber a few times with no problem until my bank sends me a message about a fraud alert. I went to my uber account and someone hacked into account, changed my information and used my credit card for a joy ride. My bank refunded me the charged amount and its been a week and uber has yet deleted the account after I sent a half dozen messages. I will not be using their service again.
If I could rate no stars I would. Just hope you dont have to contact them for anything. Customer service will basically tell you to F off.
Please revoke this Driver. My gf was trying to get home at night in a dangerous area and couldnt walk home, thus uber. But driver completely was unprofessional and made her run after the car only for him to speed off and violent her. He was a complete incompetent and douche about it that he didnt just do it once but he did it 2 more times going in circles. The pinpoint was on at a cross road and when my gf finally cancel he slowly reversed to only give the bird. Later she couldnt even rate him but he rated her a one star. Driver tried to charge me as he drove by where I was waiting. Had to request a refund for incorrect charge. Did not appreciate the driver texting me afterwards. Company not following apple regulations and guidelines, VERY SHADY PRACTICES!!!!
I am wondering why people are not satisfied with every single things in their live, always complaining, bad review. Compare Uber with taxi!!! You are paying half portion of taxi fare to Uber, a driver gets paid $2.00 and you give bad review to driver too, just because of your $4 or $5? And taking a drivers life from him or special her( a single mom) the hell !!! Go to those countries people doesnt have food shelter water, but they are still alive and thankful, you people are with full overlapping stomach never can be satisfied. Shame on those who give low rating to everything, learn from other countries where their is always war!!! Dont miserable a poor drivers life or company or any associate !!! Rate, if you are perfect!!!
I hate the new app with the location being tracked all the time even when Im not using the app, drains the battery and feels like a major invasion of my privacy. Please set it back to use location only when Im using the app
The drivers are always far away and half of the time the driver is completing another trip and then they go way out of the way.
I have been riding uber for about a year now but only had a couple of bad experiences. Like one driver had a little bit of road rage and another drivers car smelled like marijuana but you know, Im in Jacksonville Fl so course Im going to be smelling marijuana. (Just not from a professional car service). And one time I requested a ride and two drivers never showed and they charged me $5.00 for cancellation and they charged me $5 a couple of other time because I was having a hard time contacting my driver and he cancelled. But I always got my money back. Theres alot of complaints about the $5.00 cancellation fee but Uber will refund for good reasons. I tip good like 25 percent or more so maybe thats another reason why? But the drivers tell me they never interact with other drivers so... anyway I always get fast response and good service. So I love uber. I used to spend a truck load of money on cabs and would get creepy drivers with almost run down cars and long waits for a ride. So yeah Im happy with uber.
I did not request an Uber. I was woken up by a phone call after midnight on a Sunday after I was fast asleep because I had work in the morning... the ride was in Colorado and Im not even in Colorado at the moment nor do I have the app installed on my phone anymore. This is weird. They also charged me $5 for a cancellation because I have an account, even though I dont have it installed on my phone. Contacting customer support.
They make it impossible for you to fully contact them if you run into problems which you are sure to run in to. Worst get help assistance concept ever. Honestly.
I was right in front of the lance where I was suppose to be picked up and the uber just sped up and I even waved him down and he saw me but just left freaked ridiculous dont even use uber cause the driver can cancel on you even If you are where your suppose to be theyll charge you 5 bucks and they dont even give you a refund back especially if its the drivers fault lyft is a lot better you can do 3 trips and itll be like 13 bucks not bad if I do say so ??
Honestly didnt think that all the bad reviews wouldve been true but yeah they were. I tried 3 different cards on 3 different phones and it just didnt accept the cards to be able to drive but eventually one worked and it pinpointed where my girlfriend and I were a block or two away from where we were and it confused the driver and took a lot longer than it should have. In all honesty find a better app if you need transportation.
Apparently now a surge price can be applied if something goes wrong in your trip. I picked one fare and then a 1.9x surge was applied mid-trip. It took three emails before customer service applied the difference back to my account. The reason they gave was that the actual pickup and destination was different from what I entered. Well, Ubers gps hardly ever actually gets the exact spots right anyway so the fact that I have to tell the driver precisely where to stop seems to now count against me. Be careful and watch what the fare you choose up front is and compare to the actual fare charged.

Why the update? The older version was more intuitive, was more reliable and easier to navigate. This version gets unresponsive leading to having to manually close and reopen the app. Having to leave the app to communicate with drivers also seems like an oversight.
Check your review in about a week, only you will be able to see your review no one else. I find Ubers business practices to be sneaky and despicable. Im not going to recommend this app from Uber. The Uber app pulls the resale value out of your car to Pay YOU. Uber needs to compensate and pay the drives real money, so they can fix and maintain there cars. Uber doesnt pay much to the drivers at all (Uber keeps about 60% of what the rider pay UBER). Once you consider your fuel cost, extremely high cost of ride-share car insurance, car maintenance and the terrible wear and tear on the car itself plus significant lose of value of your car at resale, especially because of the super high miles on your vehicle. The Uber app is a very bad deal for the drive. However the riders are getting a great deal on your dime and time. Sorry for the bad new.
First of all, if you haven’t taken a ride yet make sure you use the coupon “arezooa" to get $20 off your first ride!! Enter it right before you request a ride. Go to the Payment tab in the app and enter the coupon under promotions. Might as well try it out since it wont cost you a thing! The app is simple, easy to use and intuitive by design, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make and model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy!!! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!!!
