Not only has uber been partaking in some Big Brother business practices, this update is a complete joke. The tracking is off and they almost make you play hide and go seek with finding the price. A once great app/company has fallen by the waste side.

Latest version broke location by pin. So when uber maps are broken you have to try and fight it. Little things like wrong side of street (which for streets with a wall dividing traffic is a big deal) Or entrance to building completely wrong on a large business complex Was okay before last update. Last update went horribly horribly wrong Not to mention unintuitive way to go back in and rate trip. Why cant you go into trips and rate from there? You just have to magically guess to swipe up?

I scheduled ahead but it waited to call a driver until the last minute. He refused because he was too far away. That was the whole point of scheduling ahead! Had to call a taxi.

I always have an issue driver always gets lost since townhouses are new in my complex and apartments are in the back they never see my apart # displayed in their system.

I need an a driver thats less than 8 mins away now Im lucky to get an uber thats 5 mins away and if I do it cancels it and gets me a driver thats 10 mins away

No longer have an option to rate my driver without turning on location. You removed the option to use location only when the app is in use. Sorry, but I value my privacy. As soon as an alternative is available in Montreal Im ditching Uber

Uber still hasnt refunded me and keeps asking me for more details. Bye uber. Lyft is better anyway.

Yup! Bad ratings on here BUT when your talking to everyone at congested places they all prefer Uber ??

Seriously? Uber wants to track your location 24/7, even when youre not using the app. Uber is the best thing to ever happen to Lyft. Ill only use Lyft now, and I more people with a conscience follow!

Right now, receipts print on 4 pages via email and its cut off. Should be emailed in a print friendly version for people looking to expense it.

*nice try with blank updates just to clear your horrible reviews* 1. Constantly tracking my location = thats creepy and illegal. Funny, theyve disabled our choice to change that. 2. Every driver (former cab driver) is now wasting your time to find other people to carpool with on YOUR DIME. 3. Way more expensive than when it started.

Horrible business practices, location access at all times... no, thank you!

I am in Turkey, Istanbul. I requested a ride and waited more than 40 minutes. The driver kept taking rounds and rounds around Taksim Area and time increases and decreases caused my phone battery drained. When I intended to cancel, a message appeared that the cost will be charged on me as the trip had started while the car hadnt showed up.

You removed and changed to many things Im using lyft

First of all, if you haven’t taken a ride yet make sure you use the coupon “arezooa" to get $20 off your first ride!! Enter it right before you request a ride. Go to the Payment tab in the app and enter the coupon under promotions. Might as well try it out since it wont cost you a thing! The app is simple, easy to use and intuitive by design, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make and model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy!!! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!!!

Friend sent me the link to receive first ride free. I signed up through the link and even have the code. It told me to download the app and sign in. I did but still was charged for the ride. Did not see if there was any place to even enter the code - nothing. The app is difficult to use and I will probably never use it again due to false advertising.

Uber app tracks you location even if you are not using it. Combining this with the todays report that uber tried to track your identity even after you deleted its app in 2015, I can clear see that this is a really shady company.
