Uber removed the ability to allow location access only when the app is in use. The only two options available is No Access and Always Access. No thanks. Uber has lost my trust and is now under fire by Apple for tracking. "And for that reason, Im out!"

I have privacy concerns about Uber. I dont like how Uber has access to a users location even while not using the app. Why not have the option to allow location tracking while using the app only? I also just read extremely troubling news that Uber found a way to track users that deleted the app. Lyft is a much better alternative.

The app requires your location at all times whether you use the app once in a year or every couple months or every day. This is unacceptable. The app should be removed from the app store if Apple cares about privacy at all. The app will continue to know your location even if you uninstall the app. Uber specifically limited Apple from seeing any if this behavior. Apple merely gave them a warning. Why? Why is this app still in the store? Uber will continue to do these things until someone says no.

Uber is a morally bankrupt company that continually finds new ways to treat their customers and drivers unfairly. Get a new CEO.

Tried to get around Apples privacy guidelines not once, not twice, but THREE times. Tracks your location for minutes needlessly after your trip. This is not a ride sharing service, its a data mining operation. Do not give money to this company. They treat their drivers poorly, disregard their customers, and treat minorities and women like theyre beneath their billionaire CEO.

Keeps saying no cash payments accepted in this city even though I have a valid cc and Apple Pay set up. Customer support are like (or maybe actually are) robots who keep repeating canned responses over and over again.

I deleted my Uber account, as well as the app from my phone, months ago. This app keeps "reinstalling" itself on my phone- and no- its not because I choose to update it- I manually update my apps. Uber is shady. Use a different company.

The app is basically an iPhone app that only works in portrait mode. If you rotate the screen the app stays in portrait mode.

I tried both and by all measures Lyft outperforms, provides better service, and care to its customers and drivers. Uber is a shameful waste.

It became the MySpace of transportation service for me. An exceedingly creepy selection of male drivers that crossed the lines, nay, jumped so far over the line I feared for my safety, cars that reeked of weed and other gag-inducing odors and if that wasnt enough the app just kept crashing so yeah.

Uber app tracks you location even if you are not using it. Combining this with the todays report that uber tried to track your identity even after you deleted its app in 2015, I can clear see that this is a really shady company.

A friend suggested using while I was on a trip. I used it and it was very convenient while I was in ny. It beat trying to find parking in the city.

Should have given 0 stars. Uber is bad because of surge pricing when you need them most and they are a crappy company

Uninstalling after reading NYT article on Ubers undisclosed use of digital fingerprinting to track users. I no longer trust this company with my personal information.

Glad that Apple is calling Uber out on their questionable business practice concerning privacy protections. I have been a longtime user of Uber but not anymore. Uber has betrayed my trust.

Uber apparently exploited iOS to track users even after they deleted the app. This is unacceptable and Uber should be banned from the app store.

Nope! Why this app still need to use my location after completion of my ride. Now I cant rate drivers, because there is a splash screen telling me to enable location. No! Not cool. I use to like uber, but not after this crap. Im moving my business to Lyft.

If you care to support a company who will track you even if you delete the app, download this app. If you care to support a company who routinely fails to support their own people, download this app. If you care to support a company who squeezes contractors, download the app. This CEO doesnt give a shot about you. Dont give a shot about him and his crooked business. Support your local cabs, use lyft, or whatever it takes to NOT support this clown of a business.

They kept charging me more when the drivers took the wrong exits and made the trip longer.
