First of all, if you haven’t taken a ride yet make sure you use the coupon ‘as10369ue’ to get $20 off your first ride! Enter it right before you request a ride in the promotions tab. Might as well try it out since it probably wont cost you a thing! The app is easy to use and intuitive, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make/model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water and candy! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have car chargers at your ready! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a cab again. Even if you want to get a black car on the occasional night out, it’s still cheaper and more convenient than hiring your own private driver. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away, and price is usually the cheapest.

I waited 40 minutes for a 10 minute pick up just to get dropped. And then I got another pool just to get dropped AGAIN. They need to put more consideration on who they let be drivers

Im too close to the state line to get a ride, when both states have Uber. Worthless.

How long is it going to take for this to be changed? I get that youre trying to make a "better experience," but not at the expense of privacy and my battery. Get with the program!

The update requires constant location access. This is not necessary or appropriate.

I hated the app when u make the location always On

I stopped using Waze for the same reason and Im not going to share my location all the time with Uber either. .

There really needs to be the option of location "while using the app". There is absolutely no need to track my every move, so therefore, I leave it set to "never".

Awesome! They showed up in literally 1 minute, the price is great, and the drivers enjoy it! Better than a Taxi!!!

Works ok if youre desperate for a ride, but they do seem to hate women and privacy so... At least Lyft is friendly.

Stop tracking my location always. Uber does not need it. The app is bad now and does not open properly sometimes. Id like to see the ability to rate other customers that I share an uber pool with.

Love the app so far would love if I could save more destinations and PLEASE BRING BACK FLAT FARES!! even if the packages cost a lil more worldly love to see that come back

As the title says. It is very hard to trust an app that constantly wants to know your location. They claim they only track for 5 minutes after the trip has ended, but even then, they dont give users the option. Its either location services are on (so you can use the app) or its off (and the app is useless). Please revert back to the original settings in which location services are "Only when the app is open"

I work in SAn Francisco and live in Sausalito. I had multiple drivers pick me up and refuse to complete the trip, because they dont want to drive there Are you your training your drivers in the same program as United? Is it ok, for them to accept the ride and then ask client to leave, because they want shorter runs? How is that different then taxis industry that you are trying to disrupt ... seriously

Ordering an Uber and getting an eta of your ride is like watching the last few minutes of software updates. You get the 5-10 mins till your driver arrives only to either have the time increase as actual time passes or be 5-10 mins in and still show the time on the clock. Sorry, this is more then a freak traffic issue. Happens almost every time I use the app.

Requesting for location even when the app is not on is too invasive. I would like to see an option to only give my location when the app is being used. Will be switching to Lyft in the meantime.

Ive talked to quite a few people no one likes the drastic update. When the app pings the driver doesnt shut off the music or the Podcasts like it used to shut the ringer is off you dont hear that theres a rider available

12 April 2017 — Uber is still requiring the "Always On" location privacy setting. Please bring back the "Only While Using the App" location privacy setting. I cannot rate this app beyond 1 star or continue to use your service if youre going to blatantly encroach upon your customers privacy.
