Its now mandatory to provide my destination address. I travel frequently in Southeast Asia, where MANY LOCATIONS DO NOT HAVE ADDRESSES! I must admit to my driver, "this address is not accurate, but I can direct you there". He frustratingly quips, "I need an address". So now, in order to get a ride, I have to enter a fictitious address. THIS IS CRAZY! And BTW Uber, Im not ALWAYS turning on my location services (as you now require). Everything used to work perfectly. Why dont you add the color of the car? In traffic, it would be so much easier. I really want to LIKE you, but you are making it harder and harder to do so.

I will not be using this app anymore. Because I declined letting the app keep tracking my location even while I am not using the app, it is now next to useless. Good thing I still have Lyft installed, because with Uber there is not even an option in the privacy tab on the phones settings for tracking location "Only while using", like there is for other apps (Including Lyft).

Uber customer service is wack theyre drivers cancel on you after making you wait then they still charge a fee then when u complain and request a refund its a problem and you have to take whatever they give to you even if you dont want it

And no, "5 minutes after" is not a solution.

When you search the airport of your city, check the route carefully because possibly the destination is set to the middle of a runway and the route is several miles longer than it should be. As a result, youre paying $4~$6 extra for the distance you wont travel. I reported to Uber several month ago and never heard back. And, do they think people are used to the "Always on" location tracking? No reason for me to allow them to track my location 5 minutes after drop off, and no reason to trust them only doing what the claimed to do. And, people like me still havent forgotten that Uber requested hundreds of Lyft cars then cancelled them and did so again and again. What a mean company. Not that Im still using this app. In fact, I have not used it ever since I found the overcharging trap. Not to mention the location tracking. Im just keeping this app installed so that I can get back and leave a 1-star review whenever it is updated.

First of all, if you haven’t taken a ride yet make sure you use the coupon above to get $20 off your first ride!! Enter it right before you request a ride. Go to the Payment tab in the app and enter the coupon under promotions. Might as well try it out since it wont cost you a thing! The app is simple, easy to use and intuitive by design, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make and model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy!!! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!!!

Same old same old. Still sticking to their tracking and nothing has changed. It will get a high review again when location services can be set to "When Using App." There is no need for Uber to always know my location and who can trust them nowadays anyway??? Lyft in a great alternative and I dont have to worry about my privacy.

Nice new features, location always ON and we dont have the choice for "only when I use the app" option.

I have to go through 4 or 5 drivers before they stop cancelling. Ive never written any review about any App, but this is getting ridiculous! Ive coped with the fact that they dont have any customer service, but now drivers are cancelling left and right and Uber is still taking money from my account. Uber drivers arent even afraid to cancel anymore. They just drive to the dot, and see if your going somewhere they want to go or something and cancel if it dont suite them! Majority people are taking uber to go to work, meetings, appointment, but now it take almost an hr to get a driver that didnt cancel or get lost

Ordered an uber pool from the airport and the driver picked up the other person but not me. Was charged for the ride and uber refused to refund me. Anyone can get in your uber and theres no verification that you are actually in the car. Ordered another because I still needed to leave the airport. The driver that came that time cursed me out for having bags with me... at the airport. Needless to say that I used lyft after that.

I use uber a lot and recently it has been going downhill. Since the App updated it is even worse. It often tells me my request failed but when I close out the app and go back in it actually shows I got a driver. On this same note, you have to confirm your rate (which you would think is a plus) but once you confirm they can raise the price based on demand. I have asked them what is the point of confirming your price and got the run around. I havent used Lyft yet but may start soon.

I use to use uber a lot and one day I called for a uber but wasnt able to reach the uber because I left work late. I was still charged full price for the uber and when I email the company asking for a refund for a ride I didnt take, they refused to give it to me.

Highly recommend using Lyft instead
