I hardly ever use uber in my city, because in this town it is next to impossible to get around if you dont have your own car. So the couple of times I have needed an uber is coming back from the airport. From Lambert Airport the only cars available were Uber black, which is twice as expensive as just using the airport taxi service. Ended up deleting uber from my phone. When in other large cities I have used Lyft, which I highly recommend!

The pin is important. It takes 4 more presses to fix it. If I dont I get picked up in an alley. Super annoying. At least the ride type doesnt magically change on you anymore.

I had to pay a past payment so i typed in my giftcard and it wont let me pay it even with my debit card connected!!! Worst app ever and they have no hotline either to top it off

UPDATE 2: As others have pointed out, Uber is likely pushing new updates just to clear out the bad reviews. Theyre hoping people will lose interest after a while and they can get away with their deceptive privacy practices unchecked. UPDATE: It looks like Uber was forced to remove the obvious lie from their app description, but with this version of the app they still can monitor your location at all times--not just when youve used Uber recently. And what about all the people who allowed the app to monitor their location because they believed the lie? The latest "feature" described in this update shows Uber never intended to keep that promise even for a second. Shame on them. Original review: Im an iOS developer and the description about how theyll use your location information is simply not true. With this configuration not only can they monitor your location for up to 5 minutes after you use the app, but also for up to 5 minutes *practically any time they want*, whether youve used the app or not.
