Allow for tips in the app

Seriously?!? How much public humiliation can one company take over so many human resource issues? Allow for tips in the app and give the drivers a little something (and dont skim anything off the top). The goal was a cashless process and you screwed it up.

Not useful in NYC

Ive tried using this app to get a ride to various parts of NYC from Staten Island. Nearly every single time, the driver is assigned, and after a 10-15 minute (while the driver is "en route"), the ride is cancelled. Theres no explanation, just 10-15 minutes of my time wasted. In addition, I recently had a driver pull up, cancel the trip when he saw it was to an airport, and demand cash for the ride. Again, having waited several iterations of the problem above, I was running short on time. I got in, since I didnt have a ride, and tried re-requesting the ride in hopes that this driver would get the request. He didnt, and when I said I wouldnt pay cash for a ride that he cancelled, he kicked me out of the vehicle. The drivers demand was against company policy, but when I complained, Uber said that the issue had been resolved since I wasnt charged. So, if you want to use a company that doesnt value your time, safety or commit to a contract, feel free to use Uber.

Recent update no good

Updated app fails to finish loading. Gets stuck on a grey screen.

Takes up too much space on my phone

Maybe they should make a lite version that takes about 30 meg instead of 142 meg, or just clean up their sloppy code.

Wont accept my card

I had my first ride with Uber the other day and the driver was friendly, although I think I was charged for an extra toll. I paid in cash on that trip. Today however I tried to order from Uber Eats and while the meal was good and driver friendly, for some reason, its now saying within he Uber app ( yes this app not Uber Eats) that I have an outstanding payment and my card doesnt work. This isnt true. Called my bank and there is nothing wrong with my MasterCard and I was able to pull out money from an ATM. It says there is a processing error or something within the Uber app re my card and also with my PayPal. Interestingly it doesnt say there was a payment issue in the Uber Eats app so this is a mystery and makes me distrust this company.

I recently was charged $43 for a 4 mile trip that usually cost $25 because my driver decided to take an extra trip after my initial set pinned location. Ubers "customer service" team (quotes used because they are of NO help) managed to reply quickly, but by email and in a passive aggressive way that is completely childish and not the way business should be done. This company is completely selfish and has no regard or respect for their customers ( and as Ive heard, much less for their drivers). Do yourself a favor and call a cab or use Lyft - dont let these guys "win". This along wit recent news Ive heard makes me fully despise this company. -marcos

You dont need my location 24/7

I switched to Lyft after I found out that Uber requires your location, even when not using the App. Until they change this I wont be using it anymore.

No Pick Up Location

I am a true advocate for uber app and the whole system. However, it would be nice if Uber developer can add a pick up location field eg, lobby, basement, etc.

Battery draining and intrusive location tracking

Uber is desperately trying to get rid of its bad reviews with these frequent, useless updates. Uber wants access to my location at all times even when Im not using the app. The only options in location services: "Always" or "Never". Every other app allows me to select "While Using". How intrusive - Uber was working fine before and didnt require this. Even if I didnt care about being tracked at all times, this invasive tracking feature was draining my battery faster and adding to my data usage. Lyft doesnt require this. No, you may not have access to my location when Im not using the app. I deleted the Uber app and have been using Lyft for my taxi needs. Lyft is just as good as Uber used to be and they seem to respect peoples location preferences.

Location services

Location services option needs to go back to switch on only when using app. Theres no reason to "Always" require sharing my location. Lyft doesnt have this problem. Keep updating to clear the bad reviews out everyones just going to keep reposting them.

Not useful in a major city, BOSTON!

THEY DONT OPERATE UBER AFTER MIDNIGHT!! SO WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A $13 UBER JUST TURNED INTO AN HOUR WAIT IN FREEZING RAIN AND A $46 CAB RIDE!!! TERRIBLE!!!

Privacy Fail

Nope. You still dont need my location once I end my ride. Fail You want your stars back? Gives us back the option of "While Using"

Lacking release notes ("whats new in this version")

New updates frequently appear in the App Store without any accompanying information in the version history. Except for marketing boilerplate a request for a rating. Heres your rating. Also, why is this 230 MB? Absolutely insane.

Multi location trips

You have to add a feature to make a multi location trip available when ordering Uber

Doesnt work

Struggles to pair with taxi. Had to delete then download. It worked once then stopped again. Unreliable.

Does not avoid traffic

After comparing multiple company I find uber app will take the driver to the heavier traffic route and local ways in order to get more fare, not recommended!

Automatic switch to UberX from Uberpool X(

This has happened 4 times in a row. Called for an UberPool and got automatically switched to UberX. Customer support only denies it without checking if its a system glitch. Done with Uber.

Horrible Customer Support

I was cancelled by four drivers in a row bc they werent going to my hotel area in San Francisco. One of the drivers charged me $5 anyway. Once in SF, one of the drivers the next day said her app wasnt working right. She picked up another fare. We got dropped off and later my receipt billed us for where the second rider was dropped off which was double the price. Emailed back and forth with Uber and was told it was my fault. USE LYFT, never had a problem with them.

Uber get your BS together

Until the latest update satisfied customer now my address is not found enough though the houses next to me are.
