Do you like giving your money to sexist companies? Do you like giving your money to exploitative companies? Do you like being driven around by dangerous, unqualified, virtually unpaid drivers? Uber is the app for you!
33% success rate, at best. This last time, driver was no-show and not picking up the phone - guessing he was looking for a better fare. Then they charged me a cancellation fee of $5. When I requested a refund, Uber only offered credit on next trip. (There wont be one, ever!) Another time, I was charged a lot more than I was quoted. Driver long hauled me, I guess. And two other times I didnt get credit (as promised) for referring two people to Uber. Then another family member uses and they only honored the coupon discount at half - due to the market, blah, blah, blah - classic bait and switch. Plus, you cant call anyone to work out an issue. Have to use app or email and wait for response. Just Not Worth It.
Deleted the app after the last update and being asked to open up a lot of my private data that has absolutely no relevance to ride share...which is the entire idea of the app. Uber has been making shady moves and will urge friends to avoid the app. My experience with Lyft has been much more enjoyable.
Beware of false cleaning fees charged by drivers. I was recently charged $40 for a mess I didnt make. The pictures were clearly not from my trip, they showed sand all over the seat when we werent even at the beach. Uber refused to refund the money?. Apparently theyre okay with employing scam artists
Ive never had a bad experience, everyone has been very friendly, and its so convenient, fast and economical!!!
This app is just as bad as the company. Hopefully Uber drives itself into oblivion much sooner than later.
I was charged twice for a ride due to a malfunction in the app.
Requires GPS to work properly - cant access settings or the map without it. Just let me tell you where I am!
Ive tried using this app many times. I was referred by a friend, and I was under the assumption that my first ride was free, up to $20. It said my trip would cost $9.59. This should have been covered by the promotion, but instead it still charged my card. Then Ive tried using it again, and now all of a sudden my card is invalid and doesnt work with Uber? Ive wasted so much time trying to get a simple ride using Uber. I really hope something is done about this. The idea of Uber sounds great, but in reality I have nothing but irritation towards it.
A week ago my new card came in the mail and I tried to add the card and got an error message saying there was an issue processing my payment, I waited a few days thinking it was something with the card and tried again last Sunday after using the card for a week, same issue, so I tried to add two other cards, one debit and one credit, same error message. Obviously it wasnt my card so I opened a support request and got my first answer of what looked more like an automated response, remove the app and install again, Ok! Done! Still the same issue but the case was marked as resolved, I sent a message saying it wasnt and they asked for a print screen of the issue, I sent and waited for a day before sending another message asking about status, got another automated or scripted message asking me to try again, same error, again it was marked as resolved, again I sent a message saying it wasnt... what do I get in return? Another scripted message asking me to delete and reinstall the app... Just to be nice, I did it and again, same issue. I reported this wasnt going anywhere and the response was? Another automated response saying the problem is my card? REALLY??? It works perfectly fine with Lyft... So if you are having problems with Uber, dont waste 4 days trying to fix it, just delete the app and try Lyft.
Change back the location services, its not that hard to do.
Deleted app because its useless wont accept my payment but customer service says my account is fine. I tried 5 different cards all fully functional with funds on them and uber app wouldnt process the payment! Done with the waste of space on my phone will call regular cab service or lyft if needed!
I have used this app in a few cities in the US and in Canada, no problems. I have had many great drivers and great conversations. I do like the new interface for picking your location. Id give it all 5 stars if I could get a better understanding of the surcharge for my area I live. The same day and same time of the week has different charges. Other than that love the app, Its nice that I dont always have to drive down town and look for parking!
Developers of this app are all pedophiles. They like little boys, thats the only reason I can think of to explain why they have decided to invaded everyones privacy by turning location services always on. Sexual predators is who they are. Disgusting animals
I cant update my cc expiry date because it wont let me change the country but adding a "new" card with the correct info says its the same payment info so I cant do that either. Apparently uber doesnt want my business anymore.

When I travel in new cities where I dont know the language or local customs, Uber gets me where I need to go quickly, introduces me to a local who can answer my odd questions, and delivers a quality travel experience. Ive met some of the most interesting people: Uber drivers.
Works ok if youre desperate for a ride, but they do seem to hate women and privacy so... At least Lyft is friendly.
And no, "5 minutes after" is not a solution.
