The app prompts riders to drop a pin rather than enter an EXACT address. This leads to poor quality pick up location data. Riders then have to confirm the address over the phone or text the proper address - the step that could have been skipped if proper address was entered in the first place. Had uber devised a convenient was to enter addresses, it would have led to faster pick-ups. The app vehicle location tracking function has unacceptable lag (by a couple of minutes), confusing the riders. The riders dons see where the car IS, they can only see where the car WAS. The riders are not allowed to voluntarily submit their pictures for faster pick-ups. However, the riders are forced to share their location even when not using the app. Riders have to use third party apps for cashless tipping - really inconvenient. There is no mandatory security recording in the vehicle to assure the riders safety. Riders cant request only those drivers that volunteered for fingerprint check. The app looks poorly designed, busy with too many offers and promotions.
