I used uber almost every day as I watched their quality of service decline. Their drivers are unhappy and seem resentful of their pay (which is completely out of our control). In addition, they do not have a phone number that you can call with claims or large issues. They have a 5 minute rule that if YOU cancel after 5 minutes (for example me waiting for a slow car to drive in a poor route towards me while I wait in sub zero temperatures) and they drive another direction, somehow I get charged! Today, I was waiting in Manhattan for my uber and the driver not only drove RIGHT past me, but proceeded to leave the borough... so naturally I cancelled but got charged the $5 fee as if any of this was my fault!! Their policies never favor the customer and if it doesnt change, people will switch to the other options such as Gett, Lyft, via, etc. There is competition and uber will fail if they keep on screwing over their customers.
