Surreptitious use of our location information is not acceptable. I will not use your app while this unnecessary demand for location access at all times is enabled... (keep posting updates to clear reviews, Ill just keep posting mine until you reverse course)

This version of the app always tracks your location. It does not allow you to authorize it only while the app is open. This is unacceptable. Please enable tracking only when app is open.

DO NOT USE UBER ESPECIALLY IF YOU LIVE IN A LARGE CITY. I was given this info from an actual Uber recruiter who told me that Uber tracks all the events in the city and hikes up the normal ride cost because of "increased demand for rides due to any concert/ show / convention- when is there not one of those going on in a large city especially here in Las Vegas. She explained how this has made her job a nightmare because people using the service for a safe ride home after a night of clubs and fun while still being responsible and NOT wanting to drive under any kind of substance intoxication. The customers were waking up the next day and realizing their safe ride home cost them in the hundreds for a ride that should be no more than $10. All she could tell these extremely irate customers was that they were shown the ridiculous price for the fare and they accepted it even though they clearly told her that they thought it was a glitch in the app and there was no way that could be the actual price for the ride, in addition the drivers get 0%of the insane inflated due to city events causing the "severely increased demand" as if this wasnt enough they are also tracking your location even when you are not using the app or service at all. Please dont get ripped off by these thieves use any other ride sharing service!

How can I get to work in time because I cant seem to schedule a ride because a ready got canceled then I try to call Uber but I get no response from them about ride situation

It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy!!! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!!!

I have been a frequent Uber user for a while now and have had nothing but trouble with the app. Anytime you have to contact customer service they give you the runaround, demand that you provide details even though they have access to that information. Please give lyft a try if you encounter the same problems. Uber is on their way down and doesnt treat their customers OR their drivers right at all!

Dont use this app! They suddenly deducted more than €440 from my fathers debit card saying that it is the fees for his trip in London, while he was sitting with me in Doha!! He couldnt even call anybody to complain, he just sent them email and they ignored it!!!!!!!!! Screw you Uber .. and hopefully the appstore and the play store will ban you forever!!!!!!!!!

I was charged for the trip I never made or even requested! I submitted a claim to their customer service. But they said: "because u made trips to this address before - charge is legitimate". We will not refund u FOR THE TRIP I NEVER MADE OR REQUESTED! So now u will charge me anytime u want? Regardless if I made the trip or not? If I requested it or not??? Where is justice to it?

My account (that I have NEVER USED) was hacked. Thank god it was an old debit card # that doesnt exist, attached to it. I tried to get help through the chat and no response. I was able to change my password because it was still linked to my phone and email, so I did, and put in a request to delete my account. Its not an option on the app so I had to frickin google how to delete it (surprise: its a request, not instant). Now I have to wait for them to delete it. I also read that in their terms and privacy agreements, Uber is allowed to keep your credit and personal information even after youve deleted and severed all ties with them. I. Hate. Uber.
