Great Service

I frankly dont understand the one star reviews...

Just get Lyft instead

Honestly its the exact same thing, and Uber is stupidly overpriced. Also, Uber is illegally testing out self-driving cars, looking to screw over their workers. Terrible company.

Double charged and no response from Uber

I have a broken ankle and was given gift cards for Uber. To use a gift card, you still need to have payment info on file. So far every ride this week has been charged against my Uber Credit balance AND on my Visa card. I wrote to inform them of the issues several days ago and no response nor has it changed. I will have to dispute the charges and then use Lyft or another service after credits expire. Not happy with the service.

Called and refused a trip sat around the same spot the last 40 mins

The driver called and told me that he did not want to pick me up as he is 10 minutes away. He stated that he mainly works in NYC and therefore he does not want to pick me up and demanded that I cancel it the trip. Since uber has a cancellation fee for customers cancelling trips I did not agree on this as I feel like we shouldnt get penalised if the driver REFUSED to do the trip.. I tried calling back several times he ignored all of my phone calls. Conveniently, there is no direct way to speak to someone in customer service for uber . Go for LYFT, VIA and GETT. Bye uber .

Really disappointed about their poor customer service

The app was generally ok but the customer service is just terrible. I took a ride last time. My Uber driver continued to drive for her previous customer for 40 minutes after she accepted my request which caused me to miss out my appointment. If I declined the ride during the wait I would be charged of extra fee by Uber, so I had to wait in the snow for 40 minutes. Altough my Uber driver felt sorry and didnt want to charge me, I was still charged by Uber. Whats more, After I wrote to Uber three times regarding this, I finally get a reply today telling me that it is ok and I was fairly charged. But I dont think this is ok!

Poorly Designed App

The app accepts poor quality pick up data. A driver has to call the rider in case of a block range instead of a street address to obtain the exact address to manually enter into a navigation app. The app sends out substandard data to third party navigation apps, prioritizing faulty lat/long coordinates over a street address as entered by a rider. The driver has to manually enter street addresses each trip to override imprecise lat/long data supplied by the uber app. Riders have no option of voluntarily submitting photos for faster pick-ups. Drivers are forced to rate riders each trip - a tedious, unnecessary step, especially during back-to-back rides. Start and end trip slide buttons are confusingly done in the same color, instead of following green/red color scheme elsewhere - consistency issue.

Location required everywhere? No thanks.

Unbelievable. Ubers app now requires you to give all location data at all times, regardless of if youre using the app. Disgrace. Ive disabled location until they kill this new privacy-violating feature and started using Lyft instead. Update: Ubers latest app DOES NOT FUNCTION without full access to location services at all times! Ive been extremely happy with Lyfts prices and drivers lately though, and Juno is an even better option if its available in your area.

Liked the older versions

I liked it much more when it was clear if the rates were normal or surge and by how much. Also I would like to share location while using app, not "always ".

Bad customer service

Horrible company. They charge you for everything including fees for when their drivers are at fault.. arent efficient and spike in prices every five minutes. Use Lyft.

VIP Encentives

The VIP coupons for the month should be ride discount and credits not coupons to use at other facilities they are ABSOLUTELY POINTLESS. Credits are barely given to existing users. If the make VIP status they should receive coupons.

Greed at its finest

Any company that can implement a "700% increase" due to "demand" is gross. People will opt for driving after a night out instead of paying 65 dollars for a 10 minute ride home. Defeats the purpose. Bye ??
