Fail. This app needing full time location tracking is nuts. And the trust me we only use it for an extra 5 min is not acceptable answer.

First of all, if you haven’t taken a ride yet make sure you use the coupon above to get $20 off your first ride!! Enter it right before you request a ride. Go to the Payment tab in the app and enter the coupon under promotions. Might as well try it out since it wont cost you a thing! The app is simple, easy to use and intuitive by design, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make and model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy!!! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!!!

And your surge rates are a joke. Also, if I dont give drivers turn by turn directions they always pick the worst route possible.

What is going on with Uber??? The app and the service used to be excellent but now they both have gone downhill. App GPS continues to give wrong location and I cant change it. No where can I send feedback to Uber about this problem using the app. Scheduling a pickup from my home address even sends the wrong address to the driver even though I have my home address configured in the app. Disappointing. Tonight should be interesting to see what happens when I try to get my ride at the airport.

Getting customer service or help, actually being able to speak with a human Uber representative, does not exist. Reporting issues, problems, errors within the Uber app, to resolve a complaint or glitch, demonstrates the lack of intelligence, redundancy, repetitiveness, and retarded nature of Uber customer service.

The app will say a driver is on the way but the driver never gets the notification. Customer service could care less if you had a bad experience or encounter a rude driver. I had a driver that wanted to pick me up at the entrance of a bridge which wasnt my pickup location lol. It wasnt safe and I wasnt close so the driver cancelled and I was charged a cancellation fee. Never again!

Pricing no longer shows up.

Picks a driver far away, and they are driving away from picking me up. Plus a $7.00 cancellation fee. ??

Solid service, great app, intuitive and easy to use!

Price shown was 4.5 dollar while the final bill is 9 dollar! Asked über customer care, they refused to say sorry! I will screen shot next time and sue then to death!

Ubers approach to evade authorities and regulation makes me wonder about their approach to privacy -- why track my location when Im not using the app? Im not confident they have their customers best interests in mind.

Drivers are angry at Uber and will give you an earful about it. Driver ignore shorter trips and are rude if you tell them which way to go. Google Uber for the litany of terrible things they do. Use Lyft or local services instead.

Deleted and using lift because I will not allow location at all times

More than a few times Ive had the app give me an arrival estimates when Im deciding what ride option to use and be wrong by over 20 minutes once I was paired with a driver, then I was charged for cancellation. Once the app gave us directions that spent 30 minutes wandering neighborhoods rather than getting on the freeway, but neither Google, Apple, nor Waze showed any freeway traffic.

It used to cost $7-9 to get to work, $12 with surge a month ago. Now it costs $13+ to get to work without surge and its only a 2 mile drive!

Why Uber needs access to my location all the time now? Give back the option to use it only while using the app. ???

Uber has successfully provided an unimaginable low in customer service. Only email communication. You will get hacked, you will get fraudulent charges, and uber will waste hours of your time playing email games. You will not get money back, and they wont delete your account, youll need to cancel your card!!!!

Even if you want to get a black car on the occasional night out, it’s still cheaper and more convenient than hiring your own private driver. The customer support is also fantastic.
