I dont recommend this app to anyone. On several occasions I try to request an uber and it tells me my request has failed then I am told my uber has arrived? My app doesnt show that I have a ride which in the long run steals money. I cant cancel a trip that doesnt show up on my app. Ive also canceled and clicked the wait time was too long and then the app continuously paired me with drivers that were farther away than the first one.

I figured out the you have to put your current address and dont rely on the app automatic location finder.

How Uber can keep reading all of their customers frustrations and ignore them is amazing to me. Keeping location always on is a violation of privacy and a drain on battery life. They need to set more policies about drivers cancelling trips. People have been asking to be able to tip drivers for how long now?? And when will you change the current horrible logo back to the "U". As my grandmother would say, "You threw your candy in the dirt." Au revoir.

I used Uber quite a bit over the past 3 years... but now theyve run totally off the rails. Their privacy posture is truly nutsoid. And full time GPS drains batteries too. Uber doesnt seem to care. But I am happy to report one AWESOME thing about Ubers downgrade - Uber convinced me to try Lyft and Fasten. Both are excellent, less expensive alternatives to Uber, and without the personal privacy abuses offered by Uber. Thanks Uber, for showing me that there are better fish in the sea. Original Review: Since the app and service are tightly coupled, my review is for both. Overall, very good. Generally better than a cab. I have had one problem driver - crazy guy - but likely no less crazy than some cab drivers I have had. App could be easier to use, but it is quite good.

As for riders The GPS do not update our locations and if I call for a car in the middle of the mall by time Im by the valet for pick up the car is on the other side. Often even at home it send them to wrong directions. As for drivers all of them complain that since we cant tip the drivers we should at least be imposed to rate them, it was mandatory before the new app make it slipped an skip so they said they only get rate 10% of the time meanwhile uber impose them to have a high rating. Its not fair for drivers even though uber have reputations to only care about itself.

A lot of the drivers make you feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Trying to get help from Uber is terrible.

Drivers are doing what they can. Started using the app in 2014 with great results, excellent service and GPS accuracy. November 2016 update threw it all to the garbage can. GPS is as accurate as a blind man. Please fix!!!

Original review: Uber still has not reversed their decision to always require your location. In the past they didnt do this, Lyft does not do this. You can only choose between never allow Uber to access your location or never (not only while using the app, like Lyft). Shady.

Location services option needs to go back to switch on only when using app. Theres no reason to "Always" require sharing my location. Lyft doesnt have this problem. Keep updating to clear the bad reviews out everyones just going to keep reposting them.

Overall its a good app which has its flaws , like the price shouldnt change due to an increase in fares where prices are like sky rocketing high its not fair to college students on a budget also it should allow you to request more then just one uber at a time an limit the number of passengers per uber pool due to timing an last but not least the pin drop location needs to be more accurate to avoid confusion an drivers not being at an exact location .

After iOS update to 10.3, the app stops working all together

I want to order a vehicle for my kids? I have to jump through hoops of placing the pin or typing an address. I want to quickly change between vehicles? I have to flip pages. Bring back the old interface. No wonder the president resigned. You dont listen to the people.
