If you need a ride Uber is ok. But they track your location everywhere and their record with women is suspect. Id recommend Lyft instead.

Nope. You still dont need my location once I end my ride. Fail. You want your stars back? Gives us back the option of "While Using" One reason I started using Uber because of the "no tipping". Since that was built into the rate, and now we have to tip, why havent you reduced your rates to reflect the change? Oh, thats right, your a shady company that has no respect for your employees or customers. Id rather walk than give you another dime. The only reason I keep the app around is to continue with the 1 star ratings.

I have enjoyed using uber in the past, but this latest update forcing the user to allow constant location tracking is an invasion of privacy, and incredibly detrimental to battery life of your iPhone. As of today, I decided to delete Uber and have downloaded Lyft. I urge everyone to join me until Uber decides to allow for location service "while using the app".

New update will not allow you to change your profile picture.

The ride I called disappeared. Apparently it "cancelled". My driver and I were confused so, in my drivers car, I sent a new request until he picked it up. Gave him a nice tip for dealing with Ubers crappy service. Ended up paying for the ride, plus tip, and two cancellations uber refuses to refund. Their service is garbage.

Privacy policy is a joke, and the drivers can be downright dangerous.

So I had an old account I assigned to my current phone number, and I went to sign up with a new account. It might literally be impossible to do this through the app. It sends you through screens that ask for your email and then complain you already registered your number, but then ask you for your number again. Super super frustrating.

There is still no option to only allow location services to be used when the app is open. The two options are "always" and "never." Fix it.

Please stop with this nonsense. Tracking my location even when Im not using the app like really? This is an invasion of privacy! This should be banned from the App Store.

Im a little upset that I downloaded the app because I plan to travel and heard good things but in the last week that I downloaded the app Ive had 4 charges to my credit card yet Ive never used the service . Theres no number to even call for help.

Uber is great as long as you never have any problems with wait times or drivers. The company is playing both sides by trying to appeal to sides who have adverse interests. Drivers want higher pay but riders want to pay less. Drivers complain about not being able to use an old car but riders want to be picked up in a nice vehicle. Uber has expanded across the country but they dont want to invest in a customer service support system that promptly addresses concerns. Thats not how you do business. Thats how you lose business to competitors.

This is not a review on a single driver. My experience is always a bad one with this app. The drivers are usually very friendly, but take me to the wrong place, drive in circles, or dont show up at all and charge a cancelation fee... I challenge the CEO to take a ride with me and tell me thats honestly how the business is supposed to work.

Its all fun and games until youre incorrectly charged for a ride! Then they couldnt have made "reporting an issue" more difficult. They seriously need to get it together with their so called "customer service." ZERO stars.

I used to use Uber a bunch a while back and usually didnt have problems. Stopped using it and recently came back and it is absolutely terrible. I had a better chance at getting an Uber at 3 AM on Saturday night than I do now on a Monday afternoon, a MONDAY!

So after using this for 5 weeks it wants to verification of credit card via photo. Too bad it never takes the pick and Im still at work with no way home. I mess with it. Re install. This makes me so mad. I used it this morning now cuz the app doesnt work Ive screwed. Fix this. Its been weeks. It will go on for a hour then it will just let it happen. Today nothing will work. Still cant get it to take a pic of the same card that been used for months.

Been trash since 2015

Please add car color to driver info in addition to make / model. His would be helpful especially in places where the car tags are only on the back.
