Uber is such a great experience and so much better than taxis. The only thing they have fallen behind on is adding the convenience of being able to tip inside the app. With uber if you want to tip you driver for good service you have to have cash with you defeating the entire easy experience. Id rate this a 5 star app if they ever get around to adding what should have been a basic feature on day one. Basically Im just using lyft now until uber gets around to adding this basic convenience to their app. Its just a hassle to have to remember to have cash. Still more useless features and no in app tipping!!!!!!!

The crisis in leadership at Uber has manifested itself in this companys inability to listen to its employees, drivers and customers. Since Uber began forcing users to Always allow location services, countless customers have complained. In typical Uber fashion, expediency has overruled compassion and empathy and customer complaints have been ignored. Uber cannot continue to do this.

The last two times Ive use their service uberX, The cars were old and dingy. The quality was far worse than a taxi cab. The last ride the driver did not seem to know how to drive. He tried driving into oncoming traffic and almost got in an accident with me and my daughter in the car. Not sure how that person was ever allowed to drive, and I think Im going to try another vendor.

Uber now wants you to turn on location services 24/7 and they have eliminated the option to only use location services while using the app only. Forget that mess! This company is going downhill fast!

I have privacy concerns about Uber. I dont like how Uber has access to a users location even while not using the app. Why not have the option to allow location tracking while using the app only? Ive loved taking Ubers for years, but the app is starting to feel bloated. The new feed thing seems just like an advertising opportunity, instead of adding useful features. They should utilize 3D Touch and rich notifications, like some other apps.

The contact driver button has been removed or hidden. Thats enough for me to delete the app.

Options of Always or Never only are not good. Tracks after the supposed 5 minutes. Turned off location and only use on international travel. When in US use Lyft. If I didnt travel internationally I would delete app.

When you search the airport of your city, check the route carefully because possibly the destination is set to the middle of a runway and the route is several miles longer than it should be. As a result, youre paying $4~$6 extra for the distance you wont travel. I reported to Uber several month ago and never heard back. And, do they think people are used to the "Always on" location tracking? No reason for me to allow them to track my location 5 minutes after drop off, and no reason to trust them only doing what the claimed to do. And, people like me still havent forgotten that Uber requested hundreds of Lyft cars then cancelled them and did so again and again. What a mean company. Not that Im still using this app. In fact, I have not used it ever since I found the overcharging trap. Not to mention the location tracking. Im just keeping this app installed so that I can get back and leave a 1-star review whenever it is updated.

21 March 2017 Update — Uber still wants to have always on location access. Please bring back "Only When Using the App." 22 Nov 2016 Update— Unfortunately had to delete the app when Uber took away the "only when using the app" location privacy setting. Despite what they say, I simply dont trust Uber not to data mine the F out of that info.

The update requires constant location access. This is not necessary or appropriate.

I stopped using Waze for the same reason and Im not going to share my location all the time with Uber either.

Horrible company. They treat their drivers terribly (ask any of them). Management does unethical things. And now, they want to track you at all times. Please use only if no other options. Support the other car services. Here are a few great alternatives : Gett via Lyft Juno

I was completely against using this app to begin with. Eventually, I gave in and tried it just so I could get to work every morning. My 10 minute ride to work (which is about a 45 min to an hour walk) was usually under $4.99. Until, of course, the last couple of months. Now Im being charged twice that, Uber drivers CONSTANTLY cancel on me after Ive waited over 10 minutes for them, theyve repeatedly made me late for work no matter how early I request a ride. The price shoots up between $9- $13 for just Uber pool alone. I TAKE THIS TRIP EVERY MORNING. Uber driver have lied about being deaf or hard of hearing. Ive had an Uber driver run an animal over with myself and another passenger present. Ive been charged three times the amount I was supposed to be charged. And it seems like no one on earth can properly follow a GPS system. I will be deleting the app this weekend. Im dishing out almost $200 dollars every paycheck to get to work and this app is NOT worth it. I would rather walk.

Broken app, rude drivers, wildly fluctuating pricing - Uber isnt what it was. My cards (3 different banks) dont work in the app anymore even though none of them have a hold - super convenient. I live in DC and keep getting drivers that wont shut up about politics. Black drivers talk about gentrification. White drivers talk about the blacks. I hired you for a service, not to hear your unlettered opinions. Pricing changes by as much as a dollar within seconds, maybe youll snag an $8 ride, maybe an $11 one. Sure hope you ordered at 7:46 and not 7:47! Going to Lyft, never looking back.

I used to use Uber all the time but their surge pricing has really gotten ridiculous. There is ALWAYS surge pricing and its completely unreasonable.

Not fit for a smart phone. Lets not even mention the GPS, worst in the market.

One of my friends ordered an Uber with his android LG phone and then when he was trying to split the fair with an iPhone 7 it wouldnt let him because of Apple Pay. How can I remove Apple Pay from iPhone?

The app is still using Background location minutes after ride is completed.
