Trying to charge me $5 before taking a ride.

I recently requested a pool ride and the app was telling me that I had a balance from the last ride I took which was 2 weeks prior. In a rush I said ok to pay and deal with it later. Then, my card gets declined even though I clearly have more than enough to pay for my current ride and the "past due" amount. Trying to request another ride, I get prompted again to pay for another $5 for a trip I took for that same day. I mean this is ridiculous. Bad drivers, crazy wait times, sometimes have to wait 15 minutes before someone picks me up and the driver usually gets notified in another city. Dont use this service, explore other services. TL:DR Uber trying to charge me two $5 charges saying I didnt pay for past rides.

The app is simple, easy to use and intuitive by design, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make and model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy!!! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!!!

Not supportive

App is totally dead. No more options. We cant edit any payment options. Cant reach customer service

Bad company

Doesnt treat employees well and has screwed me over when they hire incompetent drivers on more than one occasion.

Not as high tech as it wishes it was

Its account management settings are ridiculous and unmanageable and most of the time when Ive had an issue with a ride its the apps fault not the driver.

Cannot Edit credit card number

Wanted to change the credit card in listed but couldnt because "cannot delete" the only payment method, and looks like you cannot edit as well. Thats bad, specially at the time you need.

Disappointed.

Ive been an Uber user since the app launched and its been great. But with all these new updates, UI changes, features, hidden settings, and so forth, its just not the same. I dont like using it anymore. Theres too much on the home screen and different things to read and click that have nothing to do with traveling in a car to get to my destination. 1 star. Hope Uber can have a come back and fix the mess. Also I also entered in my correct credit card information and it still doesnt work.

Easy to use...

I used Uber for the first time 5 months ago. I had to meet friends to go to Tybee Island, Georgia for a 3-day weekend (my car couldnt be parked at the meeting place.) It was easy to make a reservation - just had to be visible when the driver arrived. I used Uber a second time (in Savannah, Ga) - again, the reservation was easy to make. The driver arrived at the expected time that the app stated. I will use Uber again when it is necessary (looking forward to using this app for my next visit to NYC.)

Uber, No Longer

I have been an Uber rider for quite some time now and have always loved the convienence until now. Not only are they now more careless with who they allow to carry out their service, I have been charged for rides that Ive never requested. Upon calling their customer care line you get to hear their automated message in which they state to email them, not even giving you the option to speak to an agent. When I did send them an email , they responded with "this is not the correct email address". After years of using this app, I am finally saying goodbye.

Textbook example of the rise and fall of greatness.

Uber used to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. I used Uber exclusively for all my transportation needs for almost two years. Over time I realized that the quality of the drivers was going downhill. Even knowing this, I still stayed loyal to Uber for a very long time. I saw the rise of Lyft and Juno and refused to convert. But my experiences with Uber kept getting worse and worse. I finally decided to give Lyft a try after one of the worst experiences in my life with Uber. Yes, I am being over dramatic. But it definitely felt that way. I would go into a lot more detail, but I dont want to bore anyone. Let me tell you… My experience with Lyft was by far One of the best driving experiences ever. The quality of the drivers are superior in every way. The rigorous background checks and quality controls that Lyft has versus Uber are so evident. I have never tried Juno. But Im sure they surpass Uber as well. So this is a fair warning to all those who are considering Uber. Dont use them! Take it from one of the most loyal Uber drivers that there ever was. I promise you you will regret it.

My drivers were okay for the most part but Im no longer a fan of "the man" behind uber. Trump...really??

Truth

Considering driving? Expect a 12 hour shift for $100-$150 and thats before you pay your expenses. If your car is worth more than $3,000 it is worth too much to drive for Uber. You will ruin your car. Riders: Drivers work very long hours for very low pay and ruin their car to drive you. NO TIP, NO FIVE. You dont deserve rides this cheap.

It sent the wrong address to the driver.?

Not impressed

Had to take Uber home from the airport last evening. Imagine my surprise when I paid double that the shuttle would have cost. I was given only two choices when selecting and the cheaper was "UberX". I was told the price was high because of the volume of people at the airport at that time. This sounds to me like gouging the customer???

Out of touch

Update: Previous attempts to contact the driver was via the internet. I tried again from within the app and was successful so updating review from 1 to 5 stars! Alls well that ends well. Last couple rides were great; everything worked fine, but…I left a hat in the car, went to help to sign in to contact the driver. First attempt to log in with my phone number resulted in response "too many requests." Whats that about? It was my first attempt ever to contact them. I tried again with my email instead of phone number and got the same response. That was a new hat I just acquired and now its irretrievably gone. Poor customer service! Another annoying thing about the app--whenever there is an update, they never say what is new in the update.

Getting worse

Uber is getting so bad. The new upgrade is worse than the original. Now it takes about 10 minutes to get a uber, the drivers call you to know where youre going because if it too close they will cancel on you, no shame. And it keeps happening and happening. Honestly, just go with lyft
