Horrible the navigation system always has the driver go the long way!! Also the drivers are incompetent and its really expensive!

I had many awful experiences with this app. Every two rides out of three can make you have bad ride. Although I appreciate some of the drivers, it is hard to avoid mistakes of others. Do not use thiss app. There are many substitutes way better than Uber( i used most of them)

Heres my message to Uber: "My Saturday night turned into a disaster trying to get an Uber ride. I was in downtown San Jose the night of 3/4/17 when I called my first Uber at 10:53pm. I didnt realize it at the time, but apparently the app put my "current location" on the opposite side of the block (with buildings in between so I couldnt just walk over there). And the drivers were plentiful in that area so I couldnt have walked there fast enough anyways. So my first driver, Antonio, went where the app had my location and I obviously wasnt there, so he canceled my trip (without texting or calling me which is frustrating). The app notified me that my trip was canceled. So I request the ride again at 10:57pm. This time I notice the location was incorrect, so I called my driver, Hironmoy, and explained that I was on the opposite side of the block on 1st Street in front of the Continental. He said okay, but then went to the wrong spot anyways. Then he called and asked where I was. I explained again my location and that the app had it wrong. I dont think he could understand me so he canceled my trip. Now Im getting frustrated. So I call for the trip a third time at 11:08pm, this time manually typing in the address of the building I was standing in front of. Unfortunately Hironmoy was my driver again. I watched him drive past me 2 times!!! He just never even stopped...he was making laps around the block. So watching the app, I was prepared to basically run in front of him and flag him down on his next lap, but he never made it back a third time. He stopped and literally sat there for about five minutes. I texted him and requested he cancel the trip and explained that I would get a different driver. I never heard back from him. So I canceled it and called for the trip a fourth time at 11:23pm. This time the driver came right to the location in under a minute and everything worked like it was supposed to. The problem is I got 3 cancellation fees and had to stand outside in the cold rain for 30 minutes just to get a ride. Again there were drivers everywhere so it was very frustrating that it was such an ordeal to get a ride. while watching everyone else coming and going in there Uber rides. I expect Uber will reimburse me for the cancellation fees and I would appreciate a credit for the hassle and poor experience. If not, I will give Lyft a try and no longer use Uber. Please let me know what you can do for me." The response I got: "You were appropriately charges a cancellation fee" The obviously didnt even read my message and just sent me a blanket statement response. Goodbye Uber, hello Lyft.

I try to call and uber TWICE and it says the ride has been cancelled because the "transaction failed" both times: I give up and get a cab and then halfway home I get a call from my uber driver saying hes there?? what ?! and I still get charged because "he doesnt control the app hes just a driver". I have never had these problems with Lyft or just a plain old cab. Deleted the app :)

Please delete this disgusting app from your phone today and use only local services. Uber is a terrorist network for serial killers

Now, if you turn GPS off even if you set pickup/dropoff location... NO CARS AVAILABLE. Screw you, Uber

Why is only login option is my phone number or social media? I want to sign in with my email and because my number changed I cant.

Tried to get a ride granted yes it was 1 of the busiest nights but to be hung up on?? And then given the hater button by the driver had to use another service

I use Uber mainly to get to work on when the buses arent running early in the morning or late at night. I live in Southern California and if I work on Saturday and Sunday, I schedule an Uber ride for 6am (buses dont start running until 7am). I have had instances where the driver would randomly cancel on me or literally message me telling ME to cancel before THEY are going the other direction. Why accept the request. Ive seen how the driver app works and I know you do not have to accept the request. Luckily, Ive never been late for work. Coming from work Ive had instances where the driver went the wrong direction and blamed me. Told me to cancel and I got charged $10!!! I am low income where of the driver cancel, it would have charged him $5. Then was rude to me and hung up! It gets a 3.5 because when Im in LA it has been reliable and has car pool, but when I need it for work, probably 40%. I only recommend Uber for heavy populated areas or big cities and metropolises. Hometowns, small towns, etc...not much reliability.

They always wait 5 minutes somewhere to hope you cancel the ride to steal from you a $5.00 fee. If not wait theyre wondering somewhere else until 5 minutes is passed. Not worth it. Many uber drivers are doing it and they know that is a way to steal your money. Be careful everyone.

Used Uber for the first time in Florida and I absolutely love this service!!! The drivers are amazing and I havent had any problems! Totally recommend!!

They quote the fares and now youll have no idea if its standard or surged fare.

Frustrating, spent 30min trying everything to fix the credit card error and no matter what I did I still get an America Express card failure 3001 WHEN I HAVE A VISA CREDIT CARD. Was late to my meeting, had to get Lyft app, will stick to Lyft for 1 year until you guys get your act together.

Im not going to recommend Uber. Why? Uber pulls the resale value out of your car to Pay YOU. Uber needs to compensate and pay the drivers real money so they can fix and maintain their car. Uber doesnt pay much to the drivers at all (Uber keeps about 60% of what the rider pays UBER). Once you consider your fuel cost, extremely high cost of ride-share car insurance, car maintenance, terrible wear and tear inside/outside of the car, significant loss of value at resale due to extremely high mileage Uber is not worth it. The Uber app is a very bad deal for the driver. However, the riders are getting a great deal on your dime and time. Sorry for the bad new. Thank you

My payment method was declined after the last update does uber require a high hold on rides it didnt start happening until last night for me alway used the same card and I have money on it

My driver cancelled my fare the second he arrived. I was ready to leave so I was watching his progress on the app the whole way. As soon as he hit my location, boom he cancels the fare. This in turn caused me to be charged a $5 cancellation fee. And when I reapplied for a ride, of course the same driver gets it (he is just sitting in the parking lot 30 from me after all) so he essentially gets a double fare. Its a scam, plain and simple. This company used to be awesome, but I guess they are getting greedy and not paying their drivers which gives them the incentive to scam their customers. Great business model.

Downloaded it for St Patricks and had pretty good experience getting around! The only thing that irritates me is that I cannot tip the drivers through the app like I can with other ride share services.

Dont you just love having to pay 5 dollars when uber doesnt get its location right so now I have to cancel and order a new one because uber said I was on some bridge whereby wasnt even near I checked my other GPS using apps to see if my GPS was off but they worked fine great job uber
